About this deal

Firstly, the QA5D TV (pictured above) has been launched, available in 43, 50, 55 and 65-inch sizes. Toshiba’s first Quantum Dot TV offers intense colour and cinematic picture quality, harnessing the brand’s full TRU Picture Engine, including TRU Resolution powerful upscaling, TRU Micro Dimming and TRU Flow MEMC technology, as well as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, delivering extraordinary big screen moments at home. Buy It Direct Ltd is a limited company registered in England. Registered number 04171412. Registered office: Unit A Trident Business Park, Leeds Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD2 1UA. This model sits below the flagship QA5D in the range as the second Android option, offering quality 4K UHD HDR10 entertainment, powered by TRU Picture Engine, Dolby Vision and Sound by Onkyo. The LK3C I have it connected to a Panasonic DP-UB150EB-K 4K player and a PS5. Both are using HDMI2.1 cables, and the TV does show that it's receiving 2080p images with HDR.

As I say, I've no compaints at all with the PS5 side, but I'd like to know that I'm getting the most out of my film setup. This 4K UHD model also features Toshiba’s TRU Picture Engine with Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. Dolby Atmos is supported, and Onkyo has also designed its speakers. The PS5 looks fantastic, without a doubt - no complaints there. UHD content on iPlayer also looks excellent. The problem I'm having is with BR and 4K discs, using both the Panasonic and the PS5.Once I realised this I Googled the term, and sure enough there's an AVForums post explaining it. (for a different make and model, but there you go). I haven’t had a proper play with the TV in terms of the interface but there are a lot of good features on paper including Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support – though testing speakers is never an option at a busy trade show. Rounding out Toshiba’s latest UK TV range will be the LK3Cs, a pair of 32- and 43-inch HD resolution TVs aimed predominantly at the second room market. Despite not being 4K models, the LK3Cs will still get HDR support (though not Dolby Vision), and will still carry Toshiba’s TRU picture engine. Be transported with breath taking moving audio that fills your room and flows around you. Dolby Atmos®, an internal subwoofer and our integrated speakers, designed by Onkyo, complete your audio and visual cinematic experience for captivating viewing. The Toshiba UK4Ds will support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, and carry Toshiba's own smart system. Photo: Toshiba

My BR player also has a 24p option, but I can't find any info on whether this is supported on the Toshiba - again, changing this doesn't seem to have any effect, Haven’t noticed anything like that, though I only have the 50”. I just played a convenient 10hr green screen video from YouTube (I gave up halfway through), and couldn't see any bands: Chat Widget offers out-of-the-box cookie consent management, see here: Enabling cookie consent for the Chat widget & Web SDK The TV is powered by the brand’s TRU Picture Engine, with TRU Resolution upscaling, TRU Micro Dimming and TRU Flow MEMC all on board, along with support for Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. The mid-range model features a sleek frameless design, 4K HDR10 image quality and support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
