About this deal

Fleas and ticks are killed through contact with your pet’s skin and coat – they don’t need to bite to be killed. It kills ticks within 48 hours and fleas within 24 hours and it even helps to reduce the risk of tick-borne diseases. If they do come into contact with rain within 48 hours after treatment, it’s unlikely that they’ll get so wet that the product is washed away. It is only for use in cats, unfortunately there are no over the counter worming spot ons for use on dogs. My dogs run in Moorland, when its its not nesting time, and pick up ticks, particularly the smaller smoother haired spaniel.

It is the best advanced formula from the Frontline range (the original spot-on formula used by vets). It can be applied to dogs from 8 weeks of age, please see table to ensure you select the correct Frontline Plus Spot On Treatment for your dog. These dying fleas often rise to the top of the pet’s coat and bounce, so if you see fleas after treatment, it’s often a sign the product has got to work. Your pet should be accurately weighed prior to treatment to ensure that the correct Frontline Plus product is used. FRONTLINE Plus ®, FRONTLINE Tri-Act ®, FRONTLINE®, FRONTLINE HomeGard ® and VELOXA® are registered trademarks of the Boehringer Ingelheim Group. To treat dogs over 60 kg with FRONTLINE TRI-ACT ®, use the appropriate combination of two pipette sizes that most closely matches the bodyweight.

If you have more than one pet, ensure that animals do not lick or groom each other until after the treatment has dried. The solution is also effective at killing lice and can be used on puppies from 8 weeks of age and/or weighing above 1kg. This is for dogs that weigh between 10kg and 20kg including breeds such as a staffordshire bull terrier, cocker spaniel or french bulldog. FRONTLINE PLUS ®, FRONTLINE TRI-ACT ® and FRONTLINE ® SPOT ON kill fleas by affecting their nervous system, making them hyperactive before dying.

The (S)-methoprene in FRONTLINE Plus for Dogs prevents development of flea eggs and flea larvae, breaking the flea life cycle. In the meantime, treated animals should not be handled and children should not be allowed to play or sleep with them. Frontline PLUS Spot-on for Medium Dogs belongs to the NFA-VPS classification of veterinary medicines. These glands act as a reservoir, continuously replenishing FRONTLINE Plus for Dogs onto the skin and hair coat, so it keeps working even if the dog gets wet. When used as directed, pets treated with FRONTLINE ® flea and tick treatments do not pose a health risk to children or adults. Fipronil is the active ingredient in other Frontline products, and it works to over-stimulate the nervous system of the parasite on contact.

Frontline PLUS Spot-on for Medium Dogs is for dogs that weigh between 10kg and 20kg including breeds such as a staffordshire bull terrier, cocker spaniel or french bulldog. This means if you purchase a 3 pack or 6 pack for one pet then it will have enough treatment for 3 or 6 months. Please see the Veterinary Medicines Directorate for up to date information on this product and its classification. If you have any queries regarding the administration of these products, use our pet care expert live service. The content of a full pipette needs to be applied directly to your dog’s skin, so begin by parting their hair.
