About this deal

Hacivat is a figure of a well-known Turkish shadow play and the fragrance house Nishane (also from Turkey) has chosen this name for one of its most famous fragrances Hacivat is said to be an educated man who likes to talk pompously, but is far from being free of mistakes. Whether there is a connection to the scent here, everyone must decide for himself ;) Az illat indításában leginkább a gyümölcsös jegyek kapnak szerepet. A török Nishane márka egyik népszerű képviselője a 2017-ben megjelenő Jorge Lee által megalkotott Hacivat by Nishane illatkompozíció.

I have to say that when I first tried Nishane Hacivat, the opening had me excited. The heart notes got me thinking about whether everything was going downhill, and the dry down somehow redeemed itself by presenting the green aspects of oakmoss. The sweet zestiness from the opening and the fuzziness from the middle stage are still present here, with a twist of clean and green woody oakmoss. You don’t have to worry about smelling like something from the ’70s or ’80s; the oakmoss here is done in a modern way but adds a touch of maturity. For many people, the Aventus is the club fragrance par excellence, precisely because it is striking and widely perceptible. The house of Nishane has a fantastic assortment of different fragrances. They have a unique and interesting one for every season, as well as every occasion. When you judge the house of Nishane purely by their scents, their fragrances are more than worth it. They smell unique and different, while still being crowd-pleasing. This will make sure you smell different from the crowd, in the best possible way. Notes: The top notes of Nishane Hacivat are pineapple, bergamot, and grapefruit. The middle notes are cedar, patchouli, and jasmine. The base notes are oakmoss and woody notes. Hacivat unites in its fragrance complexity everything that is important to me in fragrances: freshness, longevity, graphite note/chalky undertone wood, light fruit chords, extreme cleanliness and wearable all year round.

Please don't get me wrong, Hacivat is by no means a bad scent. My disappointment only came from the fact that I imagined a gentle, balanced from the start, slightly fruity-woody freshie. So it's no wonder that I left it for now and devoted more time to the other fragrance I had been sent. Yesterday, however, I looked at Hacivat again and found that it had more to offer than I originally thought. The scent opens similar to the standard fruity chypre profile that everybody knows now from scents like Aventus, Hacivat etc. However, I notice that this smells bright - where's the oud? It is mild to the point where the first accord I notice when smelling the scent after the top notes fade is one of a sweet, minty freshness. By minute 15, the accords are more clearer in that I notice the same vanilla visible in Ani Extrait de Parfum, yet the flanking minty-fresh patchouli is the note here that is the equivalent of the oakmoss in the original Hacivat. By the 1 hour mark, the scent is exclusively made up of this patchouli. In the drydown, I find a lot of resemblance to Clive Christian's Anniversary Collection - 150: Timeless which similarly has a sweetened minty-aromatic drydown with lavender & vetiver.

Our test candidate today starts with a very present and strikingly sweet pineapple. Reminds me directly... ...of sweet, slightly too bold pineapple. This is a wonderful house. Nishane put out one of my favorite fragrances of all-time, Ani, a vanilla masterpiece, so my expectations were high for Hacivat, and in terms of power, longevity and sillage, I'm not disappointed at all. Nishane uses natural (and natural-smelling) components, and the fact that these are extraits means they're going to last, and last, and last (and last and last and last.) In terms of fragrance, however, I'm not so sure about Hacivat. It's hard for me personally to get past that jasmine bomb, I only barely get the citruses as a result. But the drydown is quite nice, as this becomes a bright, clean, 'masculine' smell. The jasmine almost never lets go. I'd say it's the actual heart of this beast. But in the later stages of this fragrance (and again, it lasts a really, really long time,) when other notes like patchouli and cedar are allowed to come through, Hacivat finally hits the right chord with me. NISHANE has an exceptional point of view on artistic perfumery. This can easily be recognized by the uniqueness of the scent creations. This is an offer of exclusivity sense deriving from a rooted culture.Scent: Nishane Hacivat is a fantastic fresh fragrance with a scent of woods and citruses. This fragrance opens really fruity, with a most noticeable scent of pineapple. This pineapple note is supported by some fresh citruses, creating a juicy, fresh scent. When this fragrance starts to dry down, some floral notes become present, as well as a strong scent of woods. This creates an overall fresh, but warm fragrance with an extremely safe and likable scent. Truly a fantastic release from the house of Nishane.

As NISHANE, we used scents as a language. A language, speaks louder than words itself, maybe is even able to go beyond words. And have 4 scents to tell our stories behind today’s Action, Time, Place, Belief concepts. Four of them are all created to tell mysteries of the humanity’s experiences by the most renowned and distinguished perfumers of our time. I love the opening of Hacivat. The tartness of grapefruit and bergamot, combined with the juicy and semi-sweet realistic pineapple, literally wakes up all of your senses. It’s a spectacular opening that almost anyone would love. I mean, who doesn’t love the smell of crisp fruits and citruses? This fresh start is powerful, and you can see that Nishane didn’t cheap out on the oils inside. It’s a refined and skillfully blended composition thanks to the talented Jorge Lee. Actually, the price plays a minor role in the evaluation of a perfume, because none of us carries a price tag around with us, which is clearly visible to others and tells how much we paid for this pleasure. A fragrance is judged as it is. Nevertheless, the two are in a price category (200€+) where you should ask yourself if it's worth to leave both of them at your place. Because they are a bit too similar. So if you already have the Aventus at home, or don't like it, you should perhaps be satisfied with a small sample. These fragrances are made in collaboration with some of the finest perfumers, and that shows. Many Nishane fragrances have recently gained the spotlight, purely because of how nice they are. Although the fragrance house is quite young, names like Nishane Ani and Nishane Hacivat are already becoming staples in the fragrance world.Nishane's Hacivat Extrait de Parfum first appeared on the market in 2017 and has earned quite a reputation. Jorge Lee, Murat Ukrstalspeczservis and Mert Güzel are the designers behind this memorable classic. Extraits, like this one, are the most expensive and concentrated form of parfum, with a **proportion of essentials between 20-40%. ** Apply them sparingly. A few drops are enough. Because they are so concentrated, they contain less alcohol. This makes them the best choice for people with sensitive skin. A Symphonic Composition Hacivat is a gradiose fragrance and definitely a must try for all Aventus fans. Both are on a very high level, and depending on my mood I prefer one or the other. I was not able to detect a large odour transition during my tests and different weather conditions. This somewhat abstract-artificial wood impression certainly lasts for weeks on clothes and outlasts even the strongest wash cycle. I had imagined a scent that is balanced, elusive and fascinating. I got a scent that starts strikingly and bores me a little bit towards the end. You can't imagine how I was looking forward to the test. The scent images I had already formed in my head. Like a little kid at Christmas. There he was...the HACIVAT!!!
