Owned and developed by Ross Mendham, the business started life from a small house in Norfolk, where around 200 packets of konjac noodles were personally packed and posted by Ross and his wife Kelly. During his time with the male revue group, he was required to be constantly tanned, toned and ripped. This soupy version of Easy Japanese Dan Dan Men is literally one of my favorite go-to meal when I’m craving for something warm, comforting and spicy. I was extremely nervous standing in front of the Dragons' Den panel, presenting Bare Naked Noodles after working so hard to build the business that we started in 2011.

Simple to cook - either boil for 5 minutes or microwave for 1 min 45 seconds - Barenaked Noodles are the perfect combination of health and convenience. Barenaked Foods is also experiencing an increase in popularity on social media, especially on the worldwide photo and video sharing network, Instagram. Barenaked noodles and rice have also caught the attention of celebrities and influencers, who now enjoy them as part of a balanced/restricted diet or to aid their weight management plans. However, life was about to change even more, when Ross appeared on the BBC television show Dragons’ Den in August 2013.Bare naked foods offer alternatives to noodles and rice and we are excited to be working with our partners to expand and enhance the range.

Barenaked seems to be delivered in a minimum amount of liquid (good) but the drained weight is 350g, not the 380g claimed. Bare Naked Noodles can be used as a replacement to carbohydrates in a variety of dishes including pastas, stir-fries and soups. It’s not been easy though; I didn’t realise the industry I was getting into was going to be so hard to crack but my determination and passion together with mentoring from Peter Jones’ team and support from fellow company director Barry Gilham, enabled me to take the brand to where it is now.
