About this deal

i don't know if that's the issue but it worth tryingSecond method (dkms way) should be the good one now that kali 2017.1 allows it. First, you appear to be using Kali and the script installs wifi drivers for Raspbian so unfortunately you will not be able to install drivers for Kali. Thanks for the update on their update re4son. ;0MY GUYS! I have tried probably 100 different ways to fix this stupid thing. You guys are my heroes <3

Does anyone have a good How To or instructions? This particular Pi is located too far away from the WiFi access point to use the build in WiFi and connect reliably so I bought the above ALFA adapter...

I see what you mean, i don't know the exact reason, it can happens, i think when you start the PC with the USB plug-in. I am not really sure, i have been trying many drivers for more than one year in different distributions, usr/src/linux-headers-4.14.0-kali1-common/scripts/Makefile.build:319: recipe for target '/tmp/rtl8812au/os_dep/linux/ioctl_cfg80211.o' failed However, it's worth noting that achieving the maximum range might require a clear line of sight to the access point, and factors like walls and obstructions can impact performance. Additionally, the included software interface could be more intuitive for users who are less experienced with network settings.

I tested it on my Alfa NH, NHA and WN722N. all cards found at least six access points but the ACH. what gives? Superior Wi-Fi Performance Equipped with lastest 802.11ac wireless standards, and years of field-proven experiences, ALFA AWUS036ACS provides 2.4GHz 150Mbps or 5GHz 433Mbps Wi-Fi data transfer speeds for outstanding peformance.

Verifying Kernel and Installing the Drivers The WiFi adapter appears in the list when using command 'lsusb', however, it's not appearing when using 'ifconfig' or 'iwconfig' and I cannot see it as an option to connect to any wifi networks.

what is everyone getting for tx power in monitor mode using the new branch astsam drivers installed? He's found the magic ingredients this time and seems to have the most reliable driver for the latest kernels. Looks like you've compiled the module successfully (all lines down to the third from the bottom), and it was successfully installed (last two lines). Yeah, I just installed the kernel drivers (kali is completely updated) and I am having the same issue. Dmesg sees it, but I can't modify it with ifconfig, nor does the wireless menu list any other devices to use. It looks like "kernel headers for this kernel does not seem to be installed." You should install kernel headers.
