That's definitely a new color on the ingots, and the silver rocks haven't been seen in years (assuming they are metallic silver). Playability: 5 - Trains are always good fun, and there are plenty of lovely features which only add to the playability.

This horse is like the new ones in LotR with moveable rear legs, but it's the first time for that version in white. For the record I have grabbed a few of these sets at an extreme markdown just in case people forget about the "Lone Ranger" aspect and see them for what they are, excellent Western themed sets. It is interesting to note that the designer of this set is Marcos Bessa, an AFOL, which suggests the design may have been influenced even more than usual by designs exhibited online as well as past LEGO sets.

I learn from others and sometimes a connection trips something in my brain that can be used in other applications. The largest of the new Lone Ranger licensed series, this train comes complete with track and a bunch of figures. Lego was really trying to save space to give the train as much room as possible on the front though, so they cut the legs off all the figs! The outside has some dynamite attached - combined with the lever sticking out of the roof at you have the nearly-mandatory-for-Lego-sets knock-out wall. You could put a train motor under the tender, but it'd take modification of the floor to work, and there's not room for a battery box in the tender.

What I was unprepared for was the speed default on Lego train motors, turns out that if you don't have a speed controller they are set to around Mach 5 and will send a small train such as this flying off the tracks, much to the delight of my seven year old. I'm not really a western guy and don't know the Lone Ranger, but I think Lego hit a solid home run on this set.
