About this deal

Dave Kemp, ed. (September–October 1981). "Opening letter". The Slade Supporters Club . Retrieved 20 October 2023– via sladefanclub.com. The details on this film are confusing. Some sources mention it being a regular film, in which Bela Lugosi plays a creepy, vampiric character that seeks to harm young women (as the title suggests), while others seem to imply this is more of a documentary-game that uses Lugosi's old appearences on previous films, and the audience is supposed to guess where are they from. (Note: the film's supposed release date is 1959, and Lugosi passed away in 1956. This kind of confirms the second theory.)

In London, 1735, naive young Hilaret leaves the over-protective walls of her father's house resolved to elope with her beloved Captain Constant. She charges Ramble with rape, and her maid Cloris charges Constant with rape. The cases are tried by the corrupt justice, Mr. Squeezum.

Christopher Plummer agreed to star, in what would be his first musical since The Sound of Music. Filming started in Ireland in March 1968. [8] Reception [ edit ]

The musical ran for four years in England but never had a major production in the US. It had a run at the Pasadena Playhouse in 1967. [7] Even if Western and Chinese humour sometimes just can´t help but bump heads, they sure have commonalities too. An Australian production opened at the Princess Theatre, Melbourne in April 1961, and toured to Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. [4] sounds good! Although different than the initial Western Expression, it depicts very well the idea that this Expression is meant to convey! Dave Kemp, ed. (September–October 1981). "News in Brief: New Single". A Broadway version of the show was planned but closed on the road in 1960. It was directed by Alfred Drake, and featured Nancy Dussault as Hilaret, John Michael King and George S. Irving, and Hy Hazell repeating her role as Mrs. Squeezum. [2] [3]
