Lambic beers are fermented using wild yeasts in the air and aged in oak barrels for years to give a sour tart flavour.

Sour Morello Cherries from Kent were delivered to us fresh and added to a nine month old foudre aged saison. Surprised to discover a glowing red beer with a fruity taste, the Master Brewer finally decided to transfer it to barrels.Like many other lambics, Kriek De Ranke is made by blending young and old soured pale ales together. This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Achouffe is a nod to the local village and as for the gnome on their bottles – well, that was a flash of inspiration by brewer Chris. The Oude Kriek Oud Beerseel owes its incredible taste to a triple fermentation process and the addition of 400 grams of fine cherries per litre.

It’s no exaggeration to say that Scottish Cherry Kriek is one of the most popular beers we’ve brewed. All of our lambic range offers incredible brews with different characteristics and a distinctive preference for sour and almondy aftertastes.For this beer, cherries are then added to give the beer a pleasant and full fruity sweetness that offsets the sour base before a pleasing and refreshing tart finish. Cherry Chouffe brings all the joy and taste of a Chouffe together with the fruitiness of the cherry. Then this incredible mixture is blessed by the presence of fresh Polish cherries that go on to mature for six months.

Being a local source of pride – Titanic is brewed in Stoke on Trent- we particularly love the Titanic Cherry Dark. There it is blended with pure organic cherry, strawberry, raspberry or apricot fruit juices and more organic beer to create fruit beers of considerable strength and flavour.

Brasserie d’Achouffe Cherry Belgian Fruit Beer is collectively packed in a safe and sturdy Beerhunter branded box. We have matured this cherry beer in oak casks for three months resulting in a beer that is accented with a delicious balance of ripe cherry sweetness, hints of oak, and a refreshing tart finish.

What makes it incredibly special is not the place where it’s crafted, but the interesting mixture of US and Slovenian hops used to brew a lambic and the delicious cherries that contribute to making this amazing dark bitter.
