About this deal

The LED on top of the mouse turns red to indicate that battery power is low and it’s time to change batteries. When you’re looking for a portable mouse that you can take with you wherever you go, then you’ll need to find something durable and long-lasting. The Logitech MX Anywhere range has been filling that gap quite comfortably for a while now, with the MX Anywhere 2 being a pretty popular choice. I should also mention the other main difference between them is that the 2S can be used with Logitech Flow, which enables you to use it between alternate computers simultaneously. This can come in handy if you have a laptop and a computer you want to connect it with, and it’s great if you work in an office setting.

But you’ve probably also noticed the Anywhere 2s is also available, and it seems very similar to the original. Between them, they’re some of the bestselling Logitech mice out there.

One minute of charging gives you enough power for two hours of use. Depending on how you use the mouse, a full charge can last up to 70 days.* A power switch on the bottom toggles the mouse on or off, and a small circular button allows you to jump between up to three paired devices. Once you pair with a computer or tablet (the Anywhere 2S works with either Windows or Mac), you can press this button to switch between them on the fly, and three indicator lights above the button tell you which link is currently active. You can connect with either Bluetooth or the included USB adapter, which uses 2.4GHz wireless, for a maximum range of 32 feet. TIP: Use Logitech Options to view available gesture sets and assign gestures to the middle button or to other mouse controls. Connect one end of the provided charging cable to the Micro-USB port on the mouse and the other end to a USB power source. The LED blinks slowly until fully charged, when it is lit steadily. (The LED shuts off when you remove the cable.)

It has a very long battery life, and you can customize the 7 additional buttons that it has around its sides and top. This number of buttons is pretty good for a mouse, though if you’re not gaming, you may find some of them obsolete. Chuột không dây Logitech MX Anywhere 2S được trang bị con mắt Darkfield với cảm biến lên đến 4000 dpi, cho khả năng đọc thao tác cực nhạy, độ chính xác cao trên nhiều bề mặt. The main difference between the Anywhere 2 and the MX Anywhere 2s is that the 2s has a longer battery life and the ability to adjust it to a higher sensitivity too. This means that if you’re planning to use the mouse for gaming, then the 2S is going to be the better option. It’s difficult to really compare the mice too much because they’re actually exactly the same weight and exactly the same dimensions too. The 2s is the newer of the two, and there are a few areas where it’s a noticeable improvement on the 2. The scroll wheel on the 2s isn’t as good as the MX Anywhere 3, which has a dual scroll (great for Excel and other editing work). This mouse allows you to use it with up to three different computers. Just use the Easy-Switch™ button to change the channel. Select the channel you want and go to the next step. When it comes down to finding a travel mouse, the Anywhere 2 comes very highly recommended. It’s a durable mouse that isn’t as sensitive as other Logitech mice, and it can take a few bumps without you having to worry about it falling apart. You have both the option of connecting to your laptop or computer with Bluetooth, or you can use the provided dongle if you prefer. Having the option is great, but 99% of us are keen to use Bluetooth nowadays.

After glowing green for 5 seconds when the mouse is powered on or waking from sleep, the LED indicates battery status. Color Installation of Logitech Options transforms the middle button into a gesture button you can use to trigger gestures that simplify desktop and application management, media control, document viewing, and personalization of common tasks.

At one point in time, the MX Anywhere 2S was actually the more expensive out of these two mice – by a significant margin, too. The Anywhere 2 can only be adjusted to 1600 DPI maximum, whereas the 2s can go up to 4000 DPI. Plus, the 2S has an estimated 70 days of battery life, whereas the 2 can only managed 60 days, so it’s around 15% better in this regard. The software is very flexible, so you can make the scroll wheel pushes (or any of the buttons) perform specific functions like pulling up the calculator, raising the volume, or even executing a macro like Control-V to paste. All of this makes another of the software's features, Flow, even more useful. Flow allows you to move your mouse cursor between computers, so long as they're on the same Wi-Fi network. This works just like when you have multiple displays, which is pretty novel technology, and genuinely handy if you hop locations around the office, switch between a laptop and desktop to do your work, or need multiple devices to work out of a hotel room. However over the last year or so, Logitech have dropped the price to the same as the Anywhere 2, so they can usually be found within a similar price range to each other. The figure below shows gesture sets available for managing windows in Windows (7, 8, or later) and Mac OS X (10.8 or later).

The mouse itself is pretty good. It has multiple computer connection capabilities, and of course, it’s a strong and reliable wireless mouse with a 10m maximum distance for it to work well. A micro USB port on the front serves as the charging port (a micro-USB-to-USB cable is included), and an indicator light beneath the square button notifies you if the battery runs low. Battery life shouldn't be much of an issue, though, as it's rated to last about 70 days on full charge, based on about six hours of daily use. That exact time will vary depending on usage but that's the ballpark you can expect, and if you remember to plug it in even occasionally, you'll run out of juice infrequently—possibly never. Go Anywhere To connect your mouse to your computer press the Easy-Switch™ button for 3 seconds. When it blinks fast it means it's in discoverable mode.
