I feel that Banner of the Maid should absolutely be added to this list. This was a surprise SRPG indie for me, cos being based on the French revolution is an odd, but fun choice that worked. Its one of the only indies that actually really took time to refine it's combat and was a genuine blast to play, which was like a left hook out of nowhere, cos most indies haven't captivated me the way it did. The character art portraits are beautiful and stunning. The game clearly had a lot of love put into it. If I can be candid, BotM needs more awareness. Despite that, the chapter-based story of this game makes absolutely no sense. If you care about a naturalistic and realistic narrative, you should avoid this game at all costs and maybe get something like Hogwarts Legacy instead - similarly magical yet at least a bit more believably written. The repetitive feeling of the combat at times is also a downside and goes against the "let's just play a bit more" feeling of the previous titles. At the very least, the side characters and their interactions are somewhat entertaining.
