This was a fantastic read!!!! I think it might be my favourite Coben yet, and I've been a mad fan for years! Things go horribly wrong for Dr. Marc Seidman, almost too bad to believe. Marc lies in bed after being shot twice by an unidentified assailant; his wife has been murdered, and his six-month-old daughter, missing.

Forget about solving all these crimes; the signal triumph here is (spoiler) the heroine’s survival. For Will Klein, Ken-his older brother-was always his hero when they were growing up. But when a young woman, who Will once loved, is found heinously murdered in their lavish New Jersey neighborhood, his older brother becomes the primary suspect in the act. There are so many intriguing mysteries to unravel in this book! I loved how they all played out and intertwined throughout the book. I was completely drawn in from the start. I enjoyed Kat's character. Some of the other characters I could take or leave. But I kept rooting for Kat to find the answers she was searching for! The antagonists are very easy to despise, but I didn't tire of them. When the book switched to their point of view, I was every bit as curious to see what was unfolding as if I was reading about Kat.Where could he have possibly been for the last ten years? Does he have any recollection of the day, more than half a life ago, that he was separated from his family? He and his loyal new friends Ema and Spoon however find themselves caught up in the mystery involving the shooting of their friend Rachel. Greg and Myron have a history together, as they had a fierce rivalry throughout their youth and college days, although Myron never made it to pro-ball after a freak knee injury. TV journalist Sara Lowell and Michael Silverman, New York’s most blistering basketball star, are the most envied couple on television. Their family, coupled with their far reaching social connections, links them to the very elite in the political, medical, and sports world; a web that will unreservedly tangle them up in a dilemma as controversial as it is destructive.
