While more floral and citrusy than the original pink sugar, is still a very good Gourmand because the caramel, and vanilla notes are quite strong and long lasting. My first impression was that it smelled like awful suncreen with some citrus and vague coconut water and lots of white floral(? In my opinion this isn’t as bad as people make it seem, on initial spray I get zero alcohol which is super nice, it opens up with that pink sugar DNA with that licorice and and lots of orange like a caramel orange and I really don’t get coconut in the opening. I usually like gourmands and sweet fragrances, but this lacks warmth and depth (to my nose, at least). I don't know how much use I'll get out of this one, but I doubt functionality is what the creator of this had in mind. On the final dry down the floral notes disappeared on me but I really don't want to wait for that long for me to enjoy it. Heck, I combed my hair the day after that (Sunday) and I would swear I still smelled the cheap vanilla even though I sprayed my Un Jardin Aprés La Mousson twice (Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning).At the same time you smell this raspberry from PS, Soft is melting its sweet citruses with caramel and vanilla (very soft vanilla) and it creates a caramel topped lemon shortcake on your skin. For me the other notes register most when sniffing the skin, but in the air I get a nice well-rounded vanilla that's an attractive feature of many later scents, including some of my favourites. It complements my optimistic and upbeat personality well without being overly sweet or headache-inducing. Doesn't help that the scent is disgustingly sweet, linear, and cloying - I got frequent headaches wearing this. It's smells very strong of caramel, cotton candy and vanilla, which are overpowering at first spraying. I got a sample of this and was looking forward to smelling it as I love sweet scents, but I’m extremely disappointed.

I don't get as much coconut in this as some others do, to my nose this isn't a coconut gourmand, just a tropical scent that has some coconut blended in with the ylang ylang and tiare.
