one of our furbabies, Daisy, is on Hills c/d for maintenance of recurring crystals in her urine which caused blood in her urine and painful urination. I have been using cystease with this special diet for a 2 + years now. i am sure this was on my vets advice. however my question is does this supplement acidify cat urine ? and should we really be giving her this, plus the special diet ? My question is, should I continue to regularly use the Cystease or should it just be used at times of stress or my cat showing urinating issues? Hello - My 7 year old tom cat recently had his first episode of Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, the vet explained that it is usually caused by stress but he is the most chilled out cat I have ever owned.
