Released in 2013 at 13 years old, the whisky was filled at natural cask strength without chill-filtration. Coming back some time later I am met with a burst of lime flowing into green fruits, apple more than others, and then that same apple dipped in caramel. Maybe a little too oak heavy on the palate, but the fresh, fruity Arran spirit does its best to keep its head above water. We have an extensive selection of fine and rare single malts from Scotland’s most respected distilleries.

A mixture of ex-sherry and bourbon cask malts that were aged for a minimum of a quarter-century, this is a complex expression, giving notes of fruitcake and toasted almonds, baked apricots and wood spice with manuka honey and demerara sugar, with gripping dark chocolate on the finish. The palate gives way to sweet fruitcake and butterscotch, followed by spice and a hint of garden mint.
