You don't see many or much of the usual characters such as Gale in the movie, which was disappointing. We finally get a movie from what is without a doubt one of the best-animated TV shows in history (sorry Simpson's fans). If you are a fan of the show, then adding the movie to your at-home collection is a must and these Bob's Burgers Movie bonus features are not to be missed. If there’s a little bit of a stumbling block of this movie is that its plot is almost too closely tied to the structure of the show. With a delightful mix of whimsy, wit, and music, the show thrived with a colorful cast of characters and terrific voice talent. The Belchers are almost always against the ropes and one bad check away from financial ruin, but they keep pushing and working and somehow they keep just barely making it - but making it nonetheless. The plot may be a little thin to support its runtime, but it’s still a very entertaining flick with some great catchy songs and plenty of humor and heart to hold itself up. A lot of the plot revolves around her trying to prove she is brave and worrying about what one of her schoolmates thinks.This film would be the final animation work for both Tuck Tucker and Dale Baer before their deaths on December 22, 2020, and January 15, 2021, respectively.
