When product pictures of the new Farpoint got released, I saw many comments on forums comparing it to the Osprey Porter. They do look a bit similar in pictures, but the Farpoint is absolutely NOT as structured or as stiff as the Porter. While the Farpoint has worked well for me, I agree that better organization and a more comfortable harness system can make a difference during those long walks and rough travels. My Farpoint has been my trusty companion for years, and it’s held up incredibly well, even with daily use for my work commute.
