About this deal

Once desired consistency is reached, remove lid and carefully remove blade post by holding onto the top of the post. Remove food from vessel with a scraper. The size of your chopper depends on how many people you cook for and what you will be using it for the most. You may find a smaller chopper to be cheaper and more space-saving. When the container is full, you can empty it and continue chopping more food into it. This takes up more time than a chopper with a larger container. A large container will take up more space but requires less time and effort emptying it. For the majority of people, a 2.5-liter capacity food chopper is large enough. Design

Different food choppers come with different ways of working. Before you buy a food chopper, think about how you want your device to start chopping. There are many different types of nuts but all offer great nutritional benefits. Many nuts are high in fiber, which helps keep your digestive system running smoothly. This food chopper ranks as our best overall choice because of its easy usability and thoughtful design. Since it's electric, you don't have to do any manual labor to chop your ingredients, saving you time and effort. It even has two speeds and a pulse function, giving you that extra bit of control over how coarse or fine you want the food to be. I'm not sure if this is recommended, but I put the food chopper in the dishwasher on the top shelf. I just take the chopper apart into four pieces. This always cleans the chopper as well as if I washed it by hand. Food choppers are one step above a regular knife, generally giving the same performance as a manual knife in terms of chopping performance, but they do it faster and more efficiently. These basic appliances are all going to be manually activated, because any motorized unit takes away from the simplicity of the design. Plus, motorized units begin to blur the line between a food chopper and a miniature food processor, and choppers are what this list is all about. All the parts can be removed and fanned open to be put in the dishwasher and cleaned. I recommend rinsing them off soon after using because dried on food doesn't come off it in the dishwasher well.

Great design. My favorite part is the cap on the end to hold in what you are chopping. Handle action is great. Blades are sharp. Makes chopping so easy compared to by hand. Would recommend to anyone. The money is worth it, it is affordable. It is very durable. Mine has never broken. After many years, the blades may dull some depending on how much chopping you have done and what substances. It's made out of some plastic, with a blade inside, a cover for the end over the blade, and a comfortable handle at the top. You won't break your budget with this manual food chopper. While it may be one of the cheapest on the market, it still has a sizable capacity. In other words, cutting down on the price doesn't mean cutting down on how much you can chop at a time. It also has other features similar to more expensive options, like an anti-skid ring on the bottom of the bowl to hold the whole thing in place while you pull the string to chop. The more times you pull, the finer the chop will be, so you can always adjust based on what your recipe calls for. Do you frequently cook with hard nuts, like macadamia or almonds? If so, make sure you select a strong grinder that can stand up to these nuts. All of that said, this might work well for an older person who cooked but couldn't cut with a knife very well.I bought this product about six years ago after a friend of mine, who hosts a lot of dinner parties, said it was a must have. I do think it is handy when you have a large amount of various vegetables to chop up, but I usually still find it easier and more convenient just to chop up veggies on my cutting board unless I have a lot to do. It does perform well, and I should probably use it more often than I do, but I usually only use it about once a month. If you’re going to get a manual chopper that leaves your chopped product directly on a cutting board, it may be a good idea to invest in a bench scraper or PrepTaxi, which will help you scrape up your chopped ingredients and transfer them to a bowl, skillet, sheet pan, or wherever they need to go. Between your food chopper and your bench scraper, you will save a lot of time with ingredient prep, and you won’t have to worry about chopped food scattered all over your kitchen. Electric If a piece of food becomes wedged in the blade, remove lid, secure top of post with finger and use a fork to dislodge food. If necessary, completely remove blade post. Do not use fingers to dislodge food.

Plastic and glass grinders can easily break and are not the best option for hard nuts. Manual grinders are also not the best option for hard nuts. These nuts are much easier to chop with an electric grinder. Looking at the capacity of the food choppers featured on our list, you can see how varied the capacity can be, ranging from a couple of garlic cloves to 10 cups of food. Consider how many people you're cooking for regularly (single person vs. a big family), as well as what kind of food you'll most likely be chopping to decide which size is right for you. You may like the added feature of measurements on your container to help you make a perfectly ratioed salad or salsa. Size Try not to use a food chopper on anything too hard, like nuts or hard cheese. Your food chopper will likely chop these items, but the blades will become much blunter in the process. To chop up these items, a food processor is more suitable. What can I do with a food chopper?
