this is my dad's signature cologne, hes worn it my entire life and it was the cologne my great grandfather wore as well. It is distinctly masculine and unmistakably elegant, a provocative and eternally contemporary perfume. After having purchased and spent time with so many other “Masculine fragrances” in the end, it is Aramis that stands as king.I think why I choose those times of day is because of a soapy quality this possesses, there’s a bold ease to it.

Aramis it’s a stunning leather, that while all macho in its campaigns and visuals, it also has room for the gentle and romantic man. the good thing about this reformulated one is that the adhesive synthetic notes have been toned down and it's just much more mellowed down and you can wear it with much more confidence without gassing the whole room!Nobody is talking here about the cardamom that is dominant in the scent for me as a saudi It's so cozy and reminds me of our Arabian coffee which cardamom is part of it. It’s for the man who has aged like a fine wine, and one who has become wise during his years of overcoming life’s struggles on this planet. My fiancé, who NEVER compliments any of my fragrances, snuggled next to me and wouldn’t stop sniffing my arm where I sprayed Aramis. The smell is still amazing and today I have another 20 fragrances from the same house and Aramis never disappoints! I must say, though, that it has never smelled as arousing on any man as much as it does on my original Aramis man.

It's hard to take apart this masterpiece and describe the individual notes but what I get for the first 10 minutes is a lean and muscular man's hairy armpit and chest smell. Today, the first warm morning of spring, it's the primarily bitterness of the artemisia and the flinty earthiness of sage and thyme, as supported by patchouli and smoothed over by myrrh, cardamom, and aldehydes. I go away from this from time to time and try to work through my many other fragrances, but every time I come back I recognise all over again that I am in the presence of history. I don't recommend putting your wrist up to your nose in this early stage especially if it's your first time trying it.remark: The body odour note in Aramis is the smell of a gentleman's armpits who has been exercising for a while and possibly even hasn't showered for a few days; It has that almost metallic sharpness that accompanies the scent of a pair of sweaty underarms; It can be surprising, but also sensual, in the way that smelling the body odour of someone you're attracted to, can be both repellent and erotic;).
