About this deal

I love the brothers best friend trope, and almost want to rate this higher because it had that trope, but no, you want that trope, there’s so many other books that’s better. Another great addition to the Don't let Me series following the LAU hockey team’s star players and their incredible, strong girlfriends. I really enjoyed the first book and loved what we saw of Blakelys character so was really keen to read it.

Now if you'll excuse me while you start reading this one, I'll be reading the rest of the books in this series that I didn't know I needed but absolutely did.

What happens when you look back at your life and realize you had to give up something you love to be with the person you care about? Theo thinking he can do whatever he wants and declaring his love for Blake, causing HER to lose the internship she had WORKED SO HARD TO GET, even when she told him NOT TO DO IT. Even when she transferred to the college, he wasn’t so nice to her, and told her she wanted wanted there.

Ash, Colt, Theo, Blakely, Kate, Mia, Mack, and hopefully more Henry have a way about them that leaves a lasting impression and I can’t get enough. Blake has been in love with Theo for a long time but he only ever sees her as his best friend's sister so now at the same college as Theo she decides that she needs to move on with her life. Theo and Blakely shared a history from childhood and were friends until the first time Theo saw her in a dress on her 15th birthday. Definitely a story to devour as these two try to figure out how to move forward with their relationship when they feel like there’s so many road blocks in the way. Don’t Let Me Go tells the story of Theo, the boy next door, and Blakely, his best friend's little sister, colliding with an inevitable attraction that was years in the making. The story got frustrating at times with the lack of communication between Theo and Blake but I’m guessing that was intentional. Though Blake and Theo had obstacles to overcome, they did the hard work and in the end became stronger for it. The love interest is just as douchey and again, refers to her as different then all the other girls. I know college is the time to do crazy stuff and learn but she just really ruined my desire to keep reading this book.

Let's start at the end, shall we because for some unknown reason the epilogue just got me all tered up like a lunatic and it was all full of happy cozy feels. These characters were very well written, even though I wanted to strangle them a time or two throughout the book. Their relationship was far from perfection still i loved their bond, it was so strong since they both harbored their feelings from childhood .

This series is one of those that I’m kicking myself for leaving it on my tbr for so long but also trying to savor it. This brought kind of a fresh feel to the "im in love with my brother's best friend" Troupe and was dual POV. But Blake turn 15 and wore her first and only dress, Theo went from easy going friend to a complete opposite and caused a riff for years. When it comes to Blake with other guys, Theo does not tolerate it and always sees red in front of him.

I swear there aint nothing better than male desperation and the way it was described in Don't Let Me Go was amazing.Theo and Blakely have a history, a past that keeps on pulling them apart, until its miscommunication and some pretty dumb moves. If you love a wonderful long story with strong-minded characters, then this spectacular book is for you! The first half of the book was really enjoyable, I loved the backwards and forwards and we saw glimpses of the Blakely from book 1.
