Silver In The Bone’ Alexandra Bracken’s New Arthurian Novel ‘Silver In The Bone’

We’d been raised at the knee of jealousy, fed by the hand of envy, and sheltered under the roof of greed. The ending was one only thing that really made me gasp in surprise the whole way though, and I am intrigued by it. Many questions are unanswered and people to stay wary of, but she sets the goal to study up and find her inner power all while facing the unknown.Ten years later, rumors are swirling that her guardian vanished with a powerful ring from Arthurian legend. Their banter, the push and pull between them, and the way they fight their feelings before eventually succumbing to them are fantastic. A run-in with her rival Emrys ignites Tamsin’s hope that the ring could free Cabell from a curse that threatens both of them. I'm an Alexandra Bracken fan and have been for ages, but SILVER IN THE BONE is certainly one of my favorite books she's ever written! Special thanks to NetGalley and Random House Children’s/ Knopf Books for Young Readers for providing me with a copy of the book.

She makes so many bad decisions, and she pushes away all of the people that try to help and support her. Silver in the Bone by Alexandra Bracken Book Review: Silver in the Bone by Alexandra Bracken

I think I’ll still continue with the series because there were a lot of twists at the end and I think the sequel could go in an interesting direction. The nine priestesses are a good example of women in leadership who work together for the good of their community. I don't like too much deaths and what's the point of being able to do magic if they can't defend themselves. Jude—broken, rebuilt, fueled by anger and a sense of powerlessness—has never recovered from watching her adoptive Faerie father murder her parents. The characters are properly done, all with their personalities and stories that made them very unique and interesting.

All in all, this is yet another stellar story from Bracken, and I'm in dire need of the second book after reaching the very last page! I can’t wait to see what happens between them, and I have a feeling there is way more to Emery than meets the eye.The middle is where it slowed and I thought the pacing was off BUT BUT BUT the last 25% was SO GOOD. After she and her brother Cabell were abandoned by the Hollower who raised them, she has done her best to take care of her brother and make a living.
