Some very highly rated mafia romances make absolutely zero sense from the mafioso’s perspective (making really dumb security decisions or just connections to the mafia life that are completely implausible). I’ve been raised to be the perfect mafia wife, but when my marriage turns into a horrific nightmare, I have no choice but to leave everything behind and start a new life. The writing is pretty good, it's easy to get into, and I'd say I'm more interested in the characters here than the plot, which I think could have been better in many ways. Note: When She Unravels is an 18+ dark mafia romance with mature themes, profanity, and plenty of steam.I just had crap that needed to come out, and when the seed of an idea made its way into my mind, it wouldn’t get the hell out until I planted it into existence. We meet him through the h’s POV around 15%… and their encounter builds a little tension, but it is IMMEDIATELY softened by his POV. I felt so many emotions for her when she was on her own, penniless and terrified of what to do next. When she unravels is a perfect well paced mafia romance story with dual povs and the right amount of spice that'll leave you sweating balls .

Recently married daughter of the Don Of NY- Valentina shoots her husband to escape his murder/torture cycle. we did get a lot of physical connection between them but i so badly wish we got more of their emotional connection scenes solely because i am so obsessed with them. we start with the heroine’s POV - this is so rare these days but really sets up the book to have a little tension. If you're looking for a perfect book to get you out of a reading slump or cheer up your day this IS the one because I'm not lying when I say I finished in one sitting. The h was in a dreadful arranged marriage but it was definitely not the stuff of dark romance fairytales.

I wanted the author to allow a little more give in the PC stuff so that the H could be more aggressive and intense. I don’t think he handled it well, not the part when he was being mean to her or when he was brooding and feeling bad for it. When my resistance to him is all but gone, a secret is revealed, and we fall apart like a house of cards. Angsty times for a bit u til they destroy the villain and ready for a Mafia war that will happen in the sequels.I felt it was kinda uncompleted for me because even though I knew that the main characters had their happy ending , I still wanted to read about Damiano and his revenge . I was horrified when it was described and especially how her mother/father knew about it all and what she was being forced to do and yet they didn't care and believed it to be his wifely duties. This book is the first book I've ever read by Gabrielle and she had exceeded my expectations so although I really don't like using Goodreads , I HAD to leave a review cuz this book is WOW .

Alsooo the ins and outs of the mafia world were soo in depth like , Gabrielle are you in the Mafia 😅😅😅?

Es una historia bien escrita que me mantuvo más entretenida en el aspecto de la mafia que la misma atracción entre la pareja. Liked the characters, a couple decent 🔥 scenes, overarching plot and existing character development! Aside from that, the heroine's revelation was pretty interesting and dark, and I thought it would have been better for the romance and plot, as well as the character, if it had been addressed more thoroughly, but sadly, it was not.
