You must imagine the creation of Allah before your eyes and think, ‘These people are beloved to my God. If I am unable to behold and experience Allah the Almighty, then I will love His creation, knowing that it is the source of gaining His love. To love the creation in such a way suddenly and rapidly ignites the fire of divine Love … Many claim to love Allah. But each should examine himself as to the genuineness of the love which he professes. In his own words, here are Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud’s (ra) 10 ways to achieve Allah’s love (taken from his speech entitled Ta‘alluq Billah, delivered on 28 December 1952 at Jalsa Salana Rabwah).Allah is God. He is the one true God but many people are not aware of that and even those who are aware do not show Him the gratitude and thankfulness He deserves. Allah is the Arabic word for God. To be a Muslim you have to testify that there is only one God, that is the first pillar of faith (Shahadah), the other pillars of faith are Prayer (Salat), Zakat (Charity), Fasting (Sawm), Pilgrimage (Hajj). Muslims worship the God of all the messengers of God, such as Adam, Nuh (Noah), Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Sulaiman (Solomon), Dawud (David), Isa (Jesus), and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). Allah has 99 names, the names are also called 99 attributes of Allah. Allah is the Greatest. He is The Most Merciful, The Most Compassionate, The Most Gracious, The All-Loving, The Most-Loving. He is our Creator who we must worship so that we attain Paradise. This life is a test, Allah created us out of love and we will be recompensed on the Day of Judgement. Your strongest love should be for Allah. But you can’t love someone you don’t know. We need to know Him. You don’t know someone you never speak to. Speak to Him, Ask of Him, and you can’t love someone you don’t remember. Remember Him, Remember Him often. We should remind ourselves daily that the water we are privileged to use is a gift, and that we should remain grateful for every act of cleansing we are able to complete. 5. 'And we are closer to him than (his) jugular vein'. [50:16] Ibn Al-Qayyim, in his book Madarij As-Salikeen, gives us a prescription to help us gain the love of Allah:

When the Messenger ﷺ was in the state of major ritual impurity and intended to eat or sleep, he would perform wudū, the way he would for prayer.” ( Muslim )The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whenever Allah wills good for a person, He subjects them to adversity.” [Bukhari]. Why? Because if the servant reacts with Sabr and contentment with Allah’s decree, it brings them closer to Allah. And “Allah loves the Patient.” [ Qur’an 3: 146] 10 ways to deal with tests: In this verse, we are reminded that our time on this earth and in this dunya is limited – we must, therefore, try to understand the importance of forgiveness. If we ourselves hope to be forgiven for our own shortcomings and sins, the least we can do is to forgive and pray for the forgiveness of our fellow brothers and sisters. 2.
