About this deal

Effectively, he and other serial killers are just defective humans that need to be helped, sectioned and studied to try and better understand how to mitigate future persons from becoming like them. HOW HE INCORRECTLY NAMED THE UNABOMBER AS "RICHARD KUKLINSKI" - if you're going to write a book on serial killers, at least get their names correct. The unabomber is Ted Kaczynski. You’ve shared two opinions in this thread that somewhat contradict one another. Please re read. If you can’t see I will point it out, but you can’t sit on the fence and say he wasn’t a monster, but agree with the other commenter who said that he definitely knew what he was doing and despite (as you put it), his community failing him, he still had conscious ability to stop. He said himself he wouldn’t have if he hadn’t gotten got.

Inside the Mind of Jeffrey Dahmer: Serial Killer’s Chilling

the patronising attempt of making the content lighthearted and directly questioning the reader as if the book is a conversation with a child Over time Jeffrey Dahmer became sloppy, he was comfortable in his position of power over young men and boys, he may have believed that people would never discover his secret, dark double he lived, but I also believe that he became tired of killing & wanted to eventually to be caught. Het boek leest snel weg, mede vanwege de simpele schrijfstijl (love it), je moet soms even stilstaan bij waar je over leest. De moorden en feiten staan ff onder elkaar in de appendix, dat is een duidelijke afsluiting. Netflix series “Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” is just the latest in a libidinous true crime canon that emphasizes spectacle and gore, while undermining or even diminishing the lived experiences of Dahmer’s victims.” Hadden eventueel plaatjes in het boek gekund, nu stond bij elk hoofdstuk het hoofd van Dahmer en die heb ik inmiddels wel gezien. Foto's van slachtoffers zou indruk maken.Thank you to Netgalley and Ad Lib Publishing for an advanced readers copy of the book. All opinions are my own. True, one could read about this on Wikipedia, but I requested the book and although, I was hoping for more psychology, I wasn't disappointed. I totally agree, Linda and this is what I was getting at. I was bullied a lot, even into adulthood, I am 54. With respect to excitement for knowledge and treatment outcomes that give us the ability to overcome and understand our own shortcomings that build greater peace and stability in our lives and families, and social responsibility and awareness and respect for children and families throughout the world.

A child would retreat into their own fantasy land, their own private world where they feel safe, so I can understand how overtime, the more a child is spending in their fantasy world in their mind, the more detached from reality they become, until it develops into delusions, mental illness. They would have known that Konerak was only 14 years old and saw the decomposing corpse of one of his victims laying on the floor of his bedroom! So I can see why Jeffrey might act in a similar way, when he grew up in a unstable family dynamic and neither parent seems to be empathetic, both his parents are wrapped up in their own little worlds, distant, emotionally unavailable. He could have been successful, happy but instead he was a self-destructive, self-saboteur, he would rather just accept failure & not wanted to be disappointed due to hating disappointment. the grammatical errors are so frequent it's quite embarrassing. Entire words missed out where one should obviously be, for example "...in a determined effort try to turn the youth into a...", he has clearly missed the word "to" between "effort" and "try"Uh, let’s see: 1) My parents divorced when I was 5, my mother and 3 siblings escaping our abusive, alcoholic father literally under cover of darkness and with a police escort, to spend that first night away on the floor at my godmother’s house.
