About this deal

Material: Cordura is a high-performance, durable material commonly used in military and outdoor gear. The surface of a Cordura mousepad is very smooth and low-friction, allowing for fast and accurate mouse movements. The material is also resistant to water and stains, which makes it easy to clean and maintain. The Endgame Gear MPC450 Cordura Mousepad requires very little maintenance. If you have any spills, dirt, or stains, a simple wipedown will take care of it more often than not. I've noticed a trend with these cheap budget pads with generic rubber foams/bases, they tend to form these waves/bumps (which you can feel) as you wash them even with just water ; I've had this on pretty much every budget pad I've owned - AC+ white, Hyperx fury s, Thor, Zerogravity, Infinity, and this included. GSR, GSR-SE, GP4 on the other hand did not have this issue on my end probably because of it's SR foam base, so from my experience I'd say to take a look on the new tiger pads with the SR foam base or any pad with the SR foam if you don't want to encounter this problem. The MPX390 may also be an option if you're really into cordura, EGG advertises it as the flattest and most premium mousepad out there due to its silicone base and imo if that's what it really offers It's worth it. My artisans (hien, zero) never had this issue as well and I've washed them a handful of times over the month, now I could see why artisan is praised as the best of the best out there. Finally, once the grip tape is properly applied, use a sharp hobby knife or scissors to trim any excess grip tape from around the edges of your mouse. Trimming the edges gives your mouse a clean and finished look. Given the fact that this isn’t your standard cloth surface I was a bit more thorough when it came to testing a variety of sensors. I don’t have any mice with really old or unknown sensors lying around but I had absolutely no issues with a 3310, 3360, HERO, Focus+, and what have you so I can say with relative certainty that this surface handles all of the current sensors (and even the previous generation of top sensors) without any hiccups. Endgame Gear MPC450 Review – Conclusion

The deep blue color is pretty nice, and I’m a fan of the stitched sides too. Running my fingers across the material, it’s easy to tell that this is built to last. TL;DR: I hope that companies will start making their mousepads less intrusive design-wise whilst keeping it brand orientated. Having the right mousepad can be crucial for consistent gameplay and make a huge difference to your performance which can be especially important in fast-paced games where split-second decisions can make all the difference. MPC series comes in three different sizes. L (MPC-450), XL (MPC-890) and Extended (MPC-1200). I was sent the MPC-450. As you would expect, given that most mousepads today offer 450x400 variant, this was no different. As a low/medium sensitivity player (800 DPI - 1.6 sens in CS, 5.33 sens in OW, 0.503 sens in Valorant), I was extremely happy with the size, given that I am 34cm/360. I never had the issue of going over the vertical or horizontal space. With the MPC450 Gaming Mousepad STEALTH EDITION, Endgame Gear focused on making a professional gaming e-sports mousepad suitable for tournament use. The Endgame Gear MPC450's 45 x 40cm textile surface has excellent sliding properties and is optimized for optical sensors. The very first impression of the pad was extremely good but highly worrisome when using my XM1/MM711 on it. The Cordura fabric is unlike any other that I have tested so far. When moving your mouse on the surface, it is perfectly fine, it glides extremely well and I have not noticed a big difference between vertical/horizontal speed (horizontal speed being a tad faster than vertical). The issue itself comes from the cable of both mice. Let me try to explain in the easiest way possible. Imagine having a 3d poster, and scratching it with your fingernails. Are you getting shivers? I for sure am. Now, you can't really hear it, it is very faint and you really have to be throwing your mosue around (like my stupid ass) to hear that sound, but from time to time, it would creep in. Is that a deal breaker? Not at all, since you can barely hear it, but I would imagine that for some people, it could get slightly annoying. Once you have your replacement mouse skates in hand, it's now time to remove your old ones from the base of the mouse. There are a few different methods to do this, but we’ll cover the main, most reliable method (in our opinion): So enough of that, I've wanted to share my findings on how to prolong your mousepad's (mpc450) glide based on my experience. here are a few points I want to share The water resistance in particular comes in handy here too. Let’s face it, there’s a good chance you’ll spill some tea or water on the pad at some point. Just rub it with a cloth and you’re good as new! Cost With that out of the way we can get to my first impressions of the pad itself, and this is a tale of two feelings. On the one hand I love the deep blue color of the MPC and the stitched sides, but on the other hand I’m not really a fan of the quite large and rubberized Endgame Gear logo along with the Cordura tag. I get that these things are important for branding, doubly so for smaller companies, but I would’ve liked to see a smaller logo application here. The Cordura tag could be there for licensing reasons (I’m just thinking out loud though; I’m not saying that this is the case) and is easily removed with a pair of scissors so that honestly doesn’t bother me as much but obviously I could do without it. Performance

The claim that it’s water repellent really holds true as well. Just to test I spilled a bunch of my precious water on the pad and it stayed on there long enough for me to grab my camera, take photos, and upload them. Afterwards I just gently dipped the spill with an absorbent cloth and the pad was about as dry as my lawn after weeks of zero rain. I personally don’t need my pads to be water resistant since I keep my drinks away from my keyboard and mouse space but I’m just saying that all this talk about Cordura being a reliable and low-maintenance fabric doesn’t come out of thin air.

Games

Endgame Gear keep surprising me. Their XM1 is a mouse that I quite often recommend to people looking for a claw grip mouse, and I suspect that I’ll find myself recommending this pad quite often too. As is the case with every product it won’t be for everyone: if you desire control or don’t like a very fast pad then this absolutely isn’t for you. There’s a surprising amount of ‘micro control’ for a mousepad this fast but it’s still nowhere near what you expect out of a more controlling surface. Speed is great, but it can also take some getting used to. One of the perks of using slower pads is the level of control you have while using your mice on them. Be careful when using the hairdryer too, as you want to avoid overheating the mouse, which can cause damage to your mouse (plastic melting or warping) and also cause injury to yourself, so proceed with caution. Endgame Gear, a company that does not fail to surprise me each time they release a product. First, they have released XM1. One of the best mice on the market for claw grip users. Bare in mind that the company is new and has fewer employees than other known companies, they were fast to note that users were not happy with the rubberized cable, and in the next month or two, they have released a new version with one of the best paralike cables. Today, I present to you their new mousepad, MPC-450 from the MPC series.

So as you can see on the pic above, a slow white spot formed where I usually move my arm and mouse around. My polyester arm sleeve - even though very smooth to the touch, is likely the main culprit for this wearing down on the middle. This effect is less noticeable on hybrid pads I've owned like the hien, ac+. I'd advise to only wear sleeves when you are absolutely limited with your arm, or when you use hardpads; or if you really want to wear a sleeve, I'd suggest going for that PTFE gaming sleeve thing. With a little preparation and some simple steps, you can enjoy better control and performance like the pros. This method involves using the hairdryer to heat up the glue underneath the mouse feet. Once the glue has been heated long enough, use a spudger (a flat plastic tool with a sharp end) or a knife to scrape underneath the feet to peel them off — be careful if using a knife! Concerns might be raised over the comfort of a fabric that’s made for rugged military people and outdoorsy survivor types but I didn’t experience any discomfort whatsoever. I absolutely hate the feeling of coarse textures grinding across my forearm as I perform large swipes for an entire evening so I was a bit concerned when I started reading up on Cordura but I’ve got to say that the MPC450 feels great. The mouse surface itself feels smooth enough and the stitching, while not the finest or most high quality stitching job, didn’t annoy me either. The rubber base also did its job of keeping the pad where I put it and the padding underneath the surface is nice and firm so that’s all aces too. The Endgame Gear MPC450 Cordura Mousepad is fast, durable, and it looks decent too. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for a long-term replacement for their old mousepad, or even anyone looking to get a mousepad for the first time.

Now I don’t know about you but I am usually not gaming in the great outdoors so why would anyone want to make a mousepad out of this? The answer to that question is pretty simple: this pad is dirt- and water repellent and, simply put, is meant to last for years and years and then some, so there’s no need to worry about it degrading on you the minute you’ve had one too many sweaty gaming sessions. The surface of the Endgame Gear MPC450 is dark blue and this refresh features an updated design for the manufacturer's logo in the upper right corner. A yellow stitching on the outer edges serves as a decorative element and the sewn-in label identifies this high-end mousepad as an authentic CORDURA® product. I’ll start of by answering a question that’s probably on a lot of minds right now: what exactly is Cordura? Well, Cordura is a specific type of fabric usually made out of nylon (though there are many variations) that’s mainly used for military and outdoor usage due to its resistance to tearing, scuffing, and so on.

Guides

I can also say that cordura fabric is not that very durable as people put them out to be, I can just scratch the fabric with my nail and when I look at the fabric close-up it's broken up. This also explains the inconsistent slowing down of my pad during my entire use with it. When you're looking to switch out your skates, you’ll need to choose replacements that fit your specific model of mouse due to each mouse having a different layout on its base where the skates are installed. The exception being brands who use the same mouse chassis for multiple models, but that will be mentioned on the skates product description. As an avid speed pad lover I bit the bullet for this one when the revised version came out. I've been using it intensively occasionally switching to other pads like the AC+. The glide out of the box at first felt even faster than my helios hardpad, which was a very pleasant experience on my end. I tested a few mice on the mousepad, and they all felt nice. I did notice that the mice with PTFE feet ran smoother than the ones without, but that’s not really a surprise. Also, the lighter mice felt faster than the heavier ones. Again, no surprise, but it’s good to know what to expect depending on the type of mouse you’ve got.
