About this deal

There are two main reasons that could be causing your battery to fail to charge. Your drone battery may not be charging because of: To fully charge your battery, you will need about 50 minutes. It’s a best practice to fully charge the battery before connecting to your drone, rather than charging it up partially, and then having a shortened flight time. The idea is that this approach reduces the impact of camera shake from normal movement and the wind; the results speak for themselves as both photos and video are silky-smooth and blur-free – although the shape of the lens sometimes results in odd distortion when light hits it, but this doesn't happen often. When the voltage per cell is about 3.3 volts, you can move it to the Lithium Polymer balance charger and balance the charge at a rating of 0.5C. This will take longer to charge than charging at 1C, but it’s safer.

This is usually an easy issue to identify. Do a bit of investigation to find out if your charger is broken. The steps in finding out if this is the problem are similar to all drone chargers. Here’s what you need to do: After about two minutes of charging, your battery should recover to about 3.3 volts per cell. To confirm this, divide the total voltage of your battery by the number of cells. This was able to maintain a strong connection to the quadcopter over much longer distances: we tested it to several hundred feet, and Parrot claims it can manage up to about 3.5 miles (6 kilometers). If you are planning on flying at long distances (or in areas that are crowded with Wi-Fi signals), the Skycontroller would be a useful addition. Casual fliers won’t need it, though. Flying As for the camera, it has a 14-megapixel sensor that can capture JPG or DNG RAW still images. This is alongside 30fps Full HD video. There’s only 3-axis digital stabilisation, though, rather than the preferable 2-axis stabilisation of the DJI Spark (a third is digitally stabilised). Parrot Bebop 2 Power – Performance and image quality It’s a big difference, too, so it’s worth trying out in a large open space, only after you’re a little more comfortable handling the drone. The Bebop 2 Power is seriously nippy when it wants to be and it makes the FPV mode even more exhilarating.Whilst you do not get 4K video the 30FPS video quality is excellent and compared to other drones in this price range the shakiness was minimal. In addition to quality service, you will find a guarantee of competitive prices and absolute transparency. Saying that the Bebop 2 Power offers an hour of flight might be a little disingenuous considering you’ll need to swap out batteries to achieve this time. Nevertheless, up to 30 minutes of flight on a single battery is still an impressive feat. That’s more than double offered by the DJI Spark. It’s a pretty accurate measurement, too, considering that’s 30 minutes measured in ideal flying conditions in video mode. When a battery is new, it’s usually shipped at a charge of about 40%. For the first few times you use the battery, do not completely discharge it. To optimize a battery’s capacity, it’s essential to keep it at its optimum condition.

Where this drone really comes in to its own though is with the FPV googles. You will need to use your smartphone as the display similar to other (cheap) VR headsets but the FreeFlightPro app really does work quite well with them and gives a whole new experience to flying a drone. We did notice some interference with the image from time to time but within around 100m the image quality was good. While the Bebop 2 Power might be lightweight, it’s one of the more stable drones I’ve flown. Even on a slightly blustery winter’s day, where it had been snowing and sleeting earlier, it held its own up in the air and was able to hover in place while countering the wind. Supposedly, it’s able to withstand gusts of up to 60km/h. A LiPo battery has a lifetime of approximately 300 charge cycles but will also depend on your battery maintenance. Let’s discuss how to identify which problem you are facing and how to fix it. 1. A Broken or Faulty Charger Each of our products undergoes rigorous testing and quality control. We offer the highest level of safety and the highest quality products. I can share my experience with an issue of a battery going bad. I did invest in a balance charger early on so I do have some advantages. This charger (EV-Peak DP2) can charge 3 batteries at once. One day I was getting ready for flying and I noticed one battery seemed to charge faster then the others. It was over 90% mark where the other two were still in the 60's. The last 10% charged slower so this battery was done sooner then the others but not terribly fast. I thought this was odd so I marked the battery. The FAA flight rules also say that you should store your batteries safely to prevent them from being damaged. The best way is to store the batteries in a fireproof drone travel case or a camera bag; you can also keep them in the battery sleeve. The Skycontroller does allow you to use other interesting features, though. Plug a video headset into the HDMI port and you get to see what the quadcopter sees. A USB port also allows you to control the drone from a computer through the ARDRoneSDK that the company offers to programmers.

Only use the official charger of the drone company to charge your drone battery. Different chargers charge at different voltages, hence a generic or alternate brand could damage your battery.Do not continue using the battery if it’s visibly damaged in any way. This could include swelling or leaking.

One great aspect of the Bebop 2 is how easy it is to take it apart and repair if needed. The propellers all detach easily with a special tool that is supplied and the camera and battery are also very easily accessed. What else should I know? This adapter has been manufactured with high quality components. It conforms with the exact specification of the original manufacturer and the Charger is guaranteed against all manufacturing defects.

How to Charge Parrot Bebop 2 Battery Properly With the Bebop 2 Power you have to either use the app, which means slightly slow transfers over Wi-Fi direct, or connecting the drone to a computer over micro-USB.
