It’s a nice enough ale, but save for some slight citrus notes I’m not really getting ‘hoppy xmas’ vibes other than from the look of the can itself. As an IPA, this beer is designed to showcase the bitterness and flavors of hops, and Hoppy Xmas delivers on that front.

You’ll find bright citrus of lemon and orange, light pine notes, crisp bitterness and rounded finish. The brewdog hoppy Xmas doesn’t do this, making the beer pretty much indistinguishable from what you would get at any other time of year.
