About this deal

A Glasgow Kiss follows the life of single Zara and her experiences in the weird and wonderful world of online dating. I also felt like she was quite stuck up, making negative comments about things like using the subway and taking busses like… have you been in Glasgow before? I read it in a day and being from Glasgow was excited to read about someone dating and living in the area. Zara has had a crush on Tom since her very first day at the aesthetics clinic she works at part-time.

The sheer volume of grammatical, spelling and formatting issues put me off this book from the start. I scraped the last dregs of Caramel Chew Chew ice cream out of the bottom of the tub with my finger and licked it.I used to love a morning after breakdown of the night before in Coia’s and I loved seeing them get such a lengthy mention.

She is single and joins an online dating site to find Mr right- however, her life suddenly spirals out of control.

However, if you are looking for an easy, quick read (yes I read it in a day) which tells the hilarious tales that comes with dating, excessive use of swearing and complete “no way” cringe and LMAO moments then pick up this book. Combined with the bold language of Glasgow’s streets, we journey inside Zara’s head revealing the truths, the drama and the heartache that goes along with dating in the twenty-first century. I got very anger close to the end where after Tom decided Zara wasn’t good enough he went back to her and she didn’t even really put up a fight, she just feel back into his arms and I just lost it. Was buzzing to read this given I could identify with the location and I wanted to support local talent.

As her healthcare job got 'more intense' amid the coronavirus pandemic, the budding author wrote in between gruelling shifts. The main character repeatedly talks about neds and chavs and people who use the subway with disdain despite being a student herself and pointing out repeatedly how little money she has.

Karly Winters has waited ten long years to have the man of her dreams, the handsome but duplicitous Jacob Cruthers. The bar is literally on the ground for what she’ll accept from men in her life and she just ignored every red flag she ever saw. EDIT: It uses depression (or what she thinks is depression) as a way to lose weight and then CONGRATULATES herself for it.She has almost completed her degree, living out a rented apartment owned by her Mother and vastly approaching thirty. The story is dull and predictable and even Glasgow as a setting is pointless because none of the geography makes sense (taxi from the Italian Centre to George Square?
