Abbot Ale takes it's inspiration from the “cerevisiari” or ‘ale brewers’ who served the Abbot in our home town of Bury St Edmunds' Great Abbey. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

These chalk wells are still in use today and remain integral to the production of this fine English ale. It’s brewed with a signature blend of dark caramel and pale malt to achieve a distinct colour and flavour.
