About this deal

frame/s shooting, 1/1.7" CCD sensor, 720p HD video recording with stereo sound, lens-based Vibration Reduction, SD card storage with SDXC support, NRW (RAW) image support. In general, detail is well rendered: if you zoom in to 100% you'll see some image smoothing at every sensitivity setting, but this is no worse than with other compact cameras of its kind – and most viewers won't be subjecting your images to such close scrutiny. Select Firmware version in the Set up menu and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update. The first time you pair with the Snapbridge application, you will be asked to select the automatic pairing option. This dialog box is no longer displayed, but you can access the automatic link settings at any time via Automatic Link on the first tab.

COOLPIX P50". Nikon Corporation. August 30, 2007. Archived from the original on November 30, 2011 . Retrieved 2010-12-28. Vari-angle TFT LCD monitor, built-in world map supports GPS/GLONASS/QZSS, CMOS sensor, built-in Wi-Fi, combination of Lens-shift and Electronic vibration reduction, SD, SDHC, SDXC card storage, Full HD 1080p videos. It is capable of taking high-quality shots at a distance thanks to its 20x optical zoom feature. It also has a 40x with Dynamic Fine Zoom feature that allows the camera to take high definition shot of even far longer distances. The rear of the P7000 has a button for popping up the built-in flash, a small window for the aforementioned optical viewfinder up top and dead centre with a very welcome diopter adjustment control alongside it, and teeny flash and auto focus lamps. Below is a 3-inch LCD screen with an impressively high 921,000-dot resolution, a marked improvement on the P6000's screen and providing more than enough detail for you to be able to determine whether you have a sufficiently crisp image. You can also turn on the new Virtual Horizon feature to help ensure that your horizons are perfectly level.

There’s also a couple of other useful options which you can alter when using Auto mode from within the Menu, including White Balance, ISO sensitivity and Image Mode (which changes the resolution of the captured image).

CCD sensor, AA batteries, D-Lighting, Face-priority AF, lens-based Vibration Reduction, up to ISO 1600When the Nikon P6000 was first announced, it's NRW RAW format implementation caused quite a stir. Nikon teamed up with Microsoft to use the Windows Imaging Component (WIC) codec in Windows Vista (also available for Windows XP SP2 via .NET). The key benefit of this approach was to allow the operating system to decode the RAW files, rather than third-party software, but obviously this opened Nikon up to charges of ignoring MAC users and generally being in cahoots with Microsoft. Now Nikon have introduced an enhanced version of the NRW file format, NRW+, which as you'd expect isn't yet supported by the third-party software vendors. You'll need to use the supplied ViewNX 2 software or buy Nikon's Capture NX2 to edit the P7000's RAW files on a computer (thankfully both are now MAC compatible). The camera contains tons of features that greatly improves your photo taking experience. However, the camera is not perfect since it doesn’t have a good grip, nor does it have the sophistication of other professional digital cameras.

no RAW (only JPEG), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Near Field Communication, SD card storage, 1080p (1920×1080) 30/25P 60/50i video recording, CMOS sensor, AA batteries (Nikon battery EN-MH2 also available), ISO 6400 (high sensitivity) The video isn't bad. Better than my phone, not as good a professional movie. (I don't have any other videos to compare it too, I don't own a video camera). My videos are a bit grainy, but I bought the camera for its ability to take pictures, not videos. Using a card slot or card reader, copy the “firmware” folder to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera.

CMOS sensor, 3.5" Widescreen OLED touch screen, 1080p HD video recording with stereo sound, lens-based Vibration Reduction, SD card storage with SDXC support You can optimize your camera settings to fit the situation. The camera comes with 18 scene modes like night portraits, beach settings, snow mode, and so much more. Just switch to your desired setting and you can have that perfect scenic picture. CMOS sensor, sensor-based and electronic Vibration Reduction, tiltable LCD screen, EXPEED C2 dual image processors, 1080p video recording with stereo sound, SD(SDHC, SDXC) card storage Compact 7.1× zoom camera, 12.2MP CMOS sensor, Tilting LCD screen, 1080p video recording with stereo sound, lens-shift vibration reduction, SD/SDHC/SDXC support, Li-ion battery, NRW (RAW) image support. The buttons of the camera are very easy to locate. Most of the buttons are pretty self-explanatory, so you’ll get the hang of using the camera eventually. You can find an on/off button in top of the camera as well as a mode dial and shutter release. The mod dial allows you to switch between the various exposures modes that the camera has to offer. The mod dial also helps you to switch directly between useful modes without the use of a menu system, this direct mode changing process saves you a lot of time and effort.

On the right flank of the camera – if still viewing it from the rear – there's an eyelet for attaching the supplied shoulder strap and a plastic cover protecting the A/V out / USB and HDMI ports. On the left hand flank is an identical means of threading on the strap, plus the new MIC port which accepts an optional external microphone. The built in speaker is on the bottom of the camera, alongside the centrally positioned, metal tripod mount. The P7000 is powered by a 7.4v lithium ion battery, good for around 350 shots, that slots into the base alongside the SD / SDHC / SDXC card slot. While you can't take full manual control, the 20x optical zoom is a great asset, and the camera is capable of producing shots that look good, especially if they're taken in decent lighting. When you see the camera start displaying apps and the camera name, get your smart device ready to connect.
