It was so hard to choose the star rating for this book because of how well written it is to the point it’s extremely frustrating to have to sit through and watch the main character go through all the emotional abuse. In particular the way the coercive and controlling behaviour is presented is very subtle but very realistic.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I am very happy to have been introduced to her writing. This is the kind of book that you absolutely have to set time aside for before you begin to read it as you won’t be able to put it down. The only clue is the bee pendant she’s wearing around her neck, the very same one Ben bought Lili on that hot summers day.With thanks to HQ Digital and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It’s still there now, smoking slightly and occasionally emitting a creaking sigh, like a train that has just pulled into the depot.

She has written heart-warming love stories and feel-good women’s fiction as Fiona Harper for more than a decade. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Never Forget You and I think that if you like to feel like you’re on an emotional rollercoaster, you will too.Never Forget You is an emotional novel that will stay with you long after reading the final hope-filled words that author Fiona Lucas wove into this heartfelt, bittersweet tale. That part of the story gave me so much anxiety, because I really liked Lili and I only wanted the best for her.
