There were more than a couple scenes where I wanted to shout from the rooftops how much I enjoyed this book. I also would have loved a better developed scene where they addressed the fact that they were nearly in-laws and how weird it could be for them to end up together. The catch: Her partner is Max Hartwell, her ex-fiance’s brother, the one who encouraged him to back out of the wedding. It was alright for what it was, but to be completely honest I wasn't expecting a new favorite -- so there's that at least 🤷🏻‍♀️ The h ticked me off with her pushing away throughout the whole book, and the pacing seemed slow at times. Yes, her sexual experience completely gotten overshadowed by Aiden, however, she WAS experienced, she DID enjoy sex and she DID have prior orgasms.

I get that this book isn't for everyone, but it was made clear in the synopsis that the romance would be between Max and Lina!By her going to patch things up, and showing a little vulnerability balanced out Aiden's weaknesses a little. Once they had their information, Aiden and Frankie crashed someone else’s wedding and thought better of it. I ended up enjoying this even though I didn't like the hero's past with OW- he came across as a slutty serial monogamist.
