We had a side wall behind the kitchen that was invaluable for keeping the wind off, we just unclipped the top portion in strong winds and there was no movement of the frame. However, the room it took up in the boot was quite significant, so if space is a premium, you might have to leave it at home. Coleman use the latest technology and a rigorous testing regime to ensure that we keep you protected at all times - whatever the weather. being able to whip up a quick sun shelter when enjoying the summer weather was life-saving, and definitely something we'll continue to use.
No beating around the bush here as it couldn’t be considered light and though I could carry it on my own I wouldn’t be able to for long.

It has faired quite well but the pole springs are starting to become very loose and look like they will snap soon. Don't treat it lightly - ALWAYS use the guy ropes, and securely tighten the pull-straps on the legs, otherwise it'll fly away or tear the fabric in strong winds. This year we are looking forward to trying out the Valdes Air tent (I CANNOT WAIT TO SHOW YOU THAT ONE – I’M GOING TO PUT IT UP SOLO TO SHOW A FAMILY 6-8 MAN TENT CAN BE PITCHED ALONE)! If a tent has a hydrostatic head of 3000mm it means that a 3 metre column of water can be placed on its surface before any drops will show through the underside of the fabric. The process of getting this thing erect (tee hee) is actually surprisingly simple, and once done, it is an easy routine to follow.
