About this deal

Heritage Balsamic Vinegar Our heritage balsamic vinegar collection has been created in partnership with one independent family producer in Modena, Italy and is renowned for it’s incredible quality and artisan flavours.

Sure to be a favorite at dinner parties, Fig Balsamic Vinegar is outstanding drizzled on Caprese Salad (Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil). Wonderful on its own or when mixed with one of our olive oils (3 parts oil to 1 part balsamic) as a salad dressing or as a yummy dip with fresh bread. Ingredients: 48% date syrup, Balsamico di Modena (wine vinegar, concentrated grape must), (SULPHITES), sugar beet syrup, sugars, vinegar, 5. This classic Mediterranean flavor blends delicate acidity with Italian fig purée achieving the perfect aroma and texture meant to complement any salad, cheese plate, relish or marinade. In both these dishes, the fig balsamic was a delicious sweet, tart, tangy compliment to the cheese and the salad.Embark on this 'fig-ureative' journey with Saratoga Olive Oil and re-'vinegar'ate your love for cooking with every drop! Each guest can place a slice of the foie grass on a slice of savory brioche, plain bread or pain d epice and a small teaspoon of fig jam on top. Already running their own busy and successful delicatessen, they were inspired by the deliciously different oils and vinegars they encountered during travels in Europe, as well as the traditional ways in which artisan producers sold these oils, vinegars and wines. Now with a HUGE collection of figs that we didn’t get to finish eating, it was time to make our much anticipated fig balsamic before the figs went bad.

Acetaia Reale have been making DOP Balsamic Vinegars for four generations on their Campi Macri farm and look after every stage of balsamic vinegar production from harvesting the grape to ageing the vinegar. I don’t put it through the food processor or strain the seeds out, simply because the seeds don’t bother me and I feel the consistency is fine after I cook it. Our Fresh Fig Balsamic Vinegar is a perfect balance of sweet, nutty and tangy richness; its depth is thick and not too acidic. Needless to say, if the only experience you’ve had with figs is from the innards of your grandparent’s cookie, you’re in for a treat. But all the gooey, sweet and tangy/tart concoction is worth every penny because it is so intensely flavored that just a little bit of the fig balsamic goes a long way. This rich balsamic blend is perfect for braising short ribs, meat marinades, or adding a fresh new twist to cheese plates, vinaigrette dressings, fresh fruit, and creamy gelato. There is no need to make your own basil oil, or to attempt a garlic infusion when you have tasted ours; the Di Lorenzo family have been crafting Premium infused olive oils in this method for decades. The nuanced sweetness and fruity flavor delivers a taste experience that is astonishingly close to biting into a fresh, ripe fig. We then infuse our barrel aged Balsamic Vinegar with the fresh fig purée to create this delicious blend. This balsamic fig sauce can also be served with pork, wild boar, venison, or any other wild meat whose strong flavor combines well with a sweet fruity sauce.
