About this deal

This is written about in a very matter of fact and practical way without being sensationalist or going into lots of detail. As soon as I read the last word I missed the book and I am sure sooner rather than later I will read it again and I would imagine I will get something even better and deeper from it the next time round. For instance, something he mentions at the very end of the book I believe will absolutely change the way crimes are investigated, and in particular, cold cases, definitely for the better going forward, and I can't champion this enough. I am glad that he left the police and does what he does now as I think he is exactly who we need in our corner to assist families to help find justice for their loved ones. Mark is a regular on television with his crime series on ITV and Netflix as well as a morning magazine crime strand and a best-selling author with Hunting Killers.

I have even more respect for Mark now and it has made me excited for what he is going to do moving forward.

A very monotone voice can spoil the listening experience and indeed the wrong voice however brilliant the books contents, however thrilling and fascinating, the wrong voice can destroy an audiobook and for me personally, the narrator's voice can be a real deal breaker. Lots of talk about helping families, but Williams-Thomas is not a private detective paid for by families, which means he's reliant on media "if it bleeds, it leads" money.

Professor Patricia Wiltshire will take you on a journey through the fascinating edgeland where nature and crime are intertwined.

Mark has also been involved in lots of famous cases including Jimmy savile, which was very interesting to read. Britain’s top crime investigator and criminologist Mark Williams-Thomas is a multi award-winning TV investigative reporter and former police detective, who will share his vast experience of investigating some of the most notorious cases and killers. His unending compassion and commitment to helping other people is refreshing and this shines through throughout the entire book and it is this noteworthy component that makes it such a beautiful book to listen to.

Amongst his awards he has two Royal Television Society Awards, a Broadcasting Press Guild Award and an International Peabody Award. I admire Mark for what he has done, what he does on a daily basis and what he hopes to achieve in the future. A definite must-read for lovers of the true crime genre and perhaps a fantastic introduction to it for those yet to explore the fearfully fascinating, darkest and dustiest corners of the human condition.Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. You will come away from reading this book feeling not depressed or down in anyway but reassured that if something awful were to happen in your world, something akin to the cases the author discusses in such detail in the book that he is the man you would want on your case. Before David Wilson became the UK's pre-eminent criminologist, he was just a young boy growing up in the Scottish town of Carluke. On one hand it is a very factual book and on the other hand it has all the appeal of a novel but throughout the book you never lose sight of what it is really all about: The authors unending commitment to helping people and getting justice.

HUNTING KILLERS WITH MARK WILLIAMS-THOMAS will be at York Barbican, York, doors are from 8pm, Mon 13 March 2023. The ones he does touch on are very surface, not in-depth stories as you would expect from a book with such a title. In my early 40s now, I have spent the last 30 years reading about truly barbaric murderers and their crimes.

In the book he takes us on a journey into the world of investigative journalism and I found it riveting. Really well written, incredibly interesting and I think a very important book to get a lot of information out there, I had no idea for instance the press behaved as described!
