You can then mix in the tints that come in each kit to make it match perfectly, making the colour darker or lighter. With our specially designed paste, you can now bid farewell to imperfections, holes, rips, and scuffs on your favorite leather items. You can also mix the Leather Colourant with this filler to match the leather colour making the repair better and enabling you to get a better more invisible finish. It contains antioxidants, which stops the leather's decay, and its UV filters protect the surfaces of old and valuable leathers from bleaching and fading. Just apply a small amount to the affected area, allow it to dry naturally or speed up the process with a hair dryer or heat gun, once dry, you can even sand it smooth for a flawless finish.The flexi filler is a very versatile product and can be tinted with dyes and coloured over making repairs invisible and your seats brand new once again.
The GLD Solvent slightly dissolves the surface of the COLOURLOCK Fluid Leather and provides a smoother finish. It was so easy and so quick and you can’t even tell where any of the cat scratches and pick marks were. If your leather is pigmented (painted/coated) most repairs can be fully covered, concealed and well blended making them invisible or at least more discreet than before. If the area you are wishing to repair does not have a smooth finish, it is recommended to sand down the area using a fine grit sand paper (not included) including sanding/removing any excuse leather to ensure a smooth surface prior to applying the compound. For large tears or cracks, we recommend that you repeat step 2 and 3 several times for optimal results. If you apply one heavy coat of filler into the damage, this will need to be left for 24 hours to dry. Note that leather dyes are generally not suitable for covering leather repairs as they are transparent stains that do not provide coverage.
