About this deal

I presume that Scorpion type saw with its deeper blades are more accurate than reciprocating saw (who blades seem to wave about a lot more). Usually I would just grab the chainsaw in this situation but being petrol this was going to be way too loud! Hi, can anyone recommend a good quality reciprocating saw that can cut a variety of materials wood, plastics etc?

If you can’t find the help needed on our DIY blog then why not head over to our forum where you can can help from both tradesmen and other DIY experts.I wasn’t too fussed on the specifications when purchasing my new reciprocating saw as it was only for a one-off job so all I really looked for was that it had variable speed and that the blades were easy to replace since I was sure I’d be going through a few.

Brands like Mac Allister will deliver time and time again, as they are so well known for great value, yet great quality DIY products.

I have a really cheap one because it only gets used around an hour a yearIn my experience, the quality of the bearings is important - too much wobble and the saws risk buckling. I bought the Titan saw from Screwfix for my father as he was determined to break my fancy Milwaukee Sawzall cutting firewood.
