I find this book great not just for work but I think it would be really good for parents to use on their own children. It's so full of amazing solutions to help anger allegedly but I find having to turn the pages just feeds the gremlin. The gremlin character is accessible for youth, without being too cute and babyish for this age group.The use of Gremlins to represent our inner anger makes for an engaging way to teach self awareness and control. the workbook provides a step-by-step approach to young people aged ten and over for identifying and managing their anger. There seems to be a purposeful direction throughout the book, using a CBT approach, so it doesn't come across as 'wishy washy' or as pop-psychology and it's presented using some visual, as well as verbal, content (e. The workbooks encourage writing and drawing, and youth who enjoy and have strength in reading will be able to benefit. It is flexible enough to be used with groups and whole classes as well as in one-to-one sessions with children with varying levels of anger issues, including those with complex needs.
