About this deal

Dual stainless steel boilers and heated group head controlled by digital temperature control (PID) brings water to precisely the right temperature (+/- 1⁰C) to extract maximum flavour potential, shot after shot. It's expensive but it produces consistently great espresso - and after the initial setting up is very easy to use and so much quicker doing extraction on the built-in timer whilst at the same time texturing the milk. The 54mm porta-filter with 19-22 grams is the key for full flavour and third wave speciality coffee. Great review – I have had a Sage Dual Boiler with a Smart Grinder Pro for over 6 years, although I replaced the grinder with a Nice Zero recently. OK so Sage are great when it comes to the little things I've mentioned above, but there are some really big things they've innovated with the Sage dual boiler.

Fitted with many settings to refine and alter extraction to individual preferences, it allows for changes to dosage, grind size and temperature to create an individual customised coffee.

The Sage dual boiler, for me, is one of the most capable yet one of the most underrated espresso machines currently available in the UK.

I think it's a brilliant machine regardless of your home barista skill, being just as good a choice for seasoned home baristas as for folk who are yet to pull their first shot.Sage Dual Boiler espresso machine, also known as the Breville Dual Boiler outside of Europe, is a rarity. You can also adjust the brew temperature although we found that the 93C default boiler setting delivered espresso at a perfect 68C. The more premium machines, including all of the Sage machines, have an overpressure valve set at 9 bars. This dose amount will create a rich, full-bodied taste and with the porta-filter that is provided, you will be able to create great-tasting coffee. With a machine like this which gives such control over pump pressure, you're no longer restricted to the norm when it comes to pulling espresso, and it's possible to pull some amazing shots with the Slayer.

Still, this compact espresso machine has volumetric dosing, pre-infusion, automatic milk frothing and yields some very impressive drinks for its size. To complement our own first hand experience, we draw from reputable sources within the industry, including coffee communities such as the coffee and espresso SubReddits, and a number of specialty coffee forums and private groups. WARRANTY: 2 Year Repair Replace or Refund Guarantee; Power: 2200 Watts; Voltage: 220-240 Volts; Capacity: 2. Either that, or you just really enjoy reading my stuff and you can't close this post ;-), and if that's the case, excellent.

Anyone reading this who doesn’t know who Lance Hendrick is, I highly recommend his YouTube channel: https://www. There are filters for single and double shots of espresso, which come in single and dual wall varieties. Understanding that temperature stability is paramount, they didn't stop here, they fitted a heating element to the group, and they fitted a temperature sensor in the group and a separate one in the brew boiler.

It takes a couple of minutes to heat from cold to operating temperature, although you can set the clock and set an auto-wake time, so your machine’s ready and waiting for you when you get up in the morning. So this is a machine that you could start with, and grow with – rather than starting with a more entry-level machine and then upgrading. The Dual Boiler’ coffee machine provides commercial features and performance in a domestic foot print.Sage has combined striking design and the best technology available to create the 'Dual Boiler' traditional coffee machine. It has one boiler for steaming milk and a separate boiler for brewing coffee, and the temperature needed for steaming is much higher than that needed for brewing. They're based on the Dual Boiler, and they're capable of the same amazing quality espresso, but they've very cleverly built on-board barista skills into the machine itself so that you don't need to develop them. It’s not for everyone, but if you’ve outgrown your starter machine, are ready to experiment a bit more with your coffee and want top quality results every time, it’s worth every penny.
