Early specimens of the toy released in Asia and at United States retail feature an unpainted gray-plastic helmet, a comparatively rare variant. Starscream's Machine Wars incarnation is a redeco of the Predator Skyquake, transforming into a large bomber jet based vaguely upon an SR-71 Blackbird. Starscream's artwork shows him pointing as if he is giving direction on what appears to be part of a spaceship (the Nemesis, I'm assuming). Part of the first wave of Transformers Hero Mashers basic Action Figures, Starscream is a non-transforming action figure with ratchet-joints, about six inches tall.

The pair can combine into the "flying wing" Advanced Tactical Bomber, while Starscream can detach to become a smaller solo jet, leaving Megatron to transform into a treaded tank mode.

In addition to his new accessories—which also include a new hologram pilot figure in place of Doctor Arkeville—Starscream features some extensive retooling to wind his Masterpiece design away from Kawamori's original, less Generation 1-accurate look, with most of the robot mode being newly tooled parts, including chunkier legs that now incorporate his tail-fins, retooled shoulders and wingtips that no longer curve into one another, a new head (with collapsible head fins), new heel spurs that flip out for added support in robot mode, and re-engineered null-rays attached to extending armatures that mean they no longer have to be removed for transformation. He also includes Prime Armor that can hold a Prime Master (and by extension, a Titan Master, Enigma, or Matrix core) and can turn into feet for said unnamed combiner. He comes with two null-rays that can either be pegged onto his upper arms, in his fists, or under his jet mode wings.

I held off on the siege one as it didn’t seem starscreamy enough for n (the face, the blockiness and the shellforminess to get to the alt mode). Certain parts of Starscream, like his back panel and tailfin assemblies, are made of unusually rigid gray plastic that is slightly prone to cracking or breaking, and should be handled with care. He is also slightly mistransformed in-package, with his arms rather adorably left unextended and the panel behind the head not being locked in place between the shoulder pylons.Part of the third wave of 2012-onwards Generations Deluxe Class toys, Fall of Cybertron Starscream transforms into a Cybertronian jet fighter. The inner robot of Pretender Starscream was also sold as a Kmart exclusive " Legends" figure, sans its shell and the shell's accessories. The original Starscream toy was reissued as a Walmart exclusive in 2018, under the Vintage G1 label, using the version of the mold from The Transformers Collection release, complete with a Megatron gun. Like all the other Voyager Class figures, Starscream includes an Enigma of Combination (dubbed the Seeker Enigma), based on a Prime Master, which can attach to Starscream via the previously mentioned Prime Armor or the combined mode chest, which can also facilitate the other previously mentioned objects. Surprisingly, Ghost Starscream comes with the same sticker sheet as the original MP-3 Starscream, only with the numbering designation changed.
