If you really didn't want you could have a buggy for a few months for eldest and wear your baby in a wrap or sling. Now Im with baby number 3, and Im planning to use it again with my daughter (DD2), she is now 27 months and a even more active that my first son! Well, now it’s probably time for you to get one, we’re going to run through the Lascal Buggy Board basics and when we’d use each one, which should help you to make an informed choice, without the faff!

Lascal Buggy Boards are perfect for helping you transition a child out of the pushchair when you have a younger child needing their space, they’re cheaper than purchasing a double buggy and allow you to know exactly where your older child is in busy environments – not to mention they give a little respite to tired legs on walks and long journeys.

Keep track, communicate, navigate and stay connected with fellow riders on any adventure with Group Ride. When I used the Easy X Rider with the Bugaboo seat, it didn't leave much space for DD1 behind the seat and she hated being blocked off like that. From sustainable fabrics to upcycling, we want our products to last longer, leave a lighter footprint and become less disposable.

Bought it as a cheap solution to having a newborn and DD1 being 2 years old who I know would not stay on a buggy board and often gets tired from walking/standing. This is a buggy board with a seat; effectively the Maxi Buggy Board but with a detachable saddle style seat as part of it. A toddler board that has been described as being almost totally universal by its maker and claims not to need any tools when being fixed to the back of a buggy. I like the idea that it has a seat as well but worry about what it fits onto or if it makes pushing a new pushchair very difficult or awkward.I used one for a few months before getting a double and it was great, really did a job but it isn't one for a lot of walking, the wheels are too small and too noisy. However, they haven’t just thought about the mums here – they have also tried to make it fun for little ones with the addition of coloured flashing lights inside the wheels, which are activated during motion. We’d say that the Mini Buggy Board is well suited to lightweight, stroller style pushchairs or for those travelling around. Lascal do recommend that you can cut the plastic straps to length once these parts are fitted, but we’ve always opted to leave the straps at full length just in case we need to switch them to a different pushchair or want to sell on.

The wheels are smaller and don’t have any cushioning abilities in them which means if you’re walking on a bumpy surface, your child will feel every bump. The Bumprider one 4 all has good suspension, an ergonomic non-slip surface and can be folded away with a safety strap. It comes in two sizes; the maxi and the mini and both can be clipped onto square, round or oval chassis frames with a width of between 26-50cm. Then there are 2-in1 boards that can also be used as scooters away from your stroller, for older and more adventurous kids. They clip onto the back of buggies for little ones to stand or sit on and are ideal for toddlers who are old enough to walk. Some mention that it's easy to fit and a good sized seat, while others say that it doesn't fit all prams, the Bugaboo Cam 3 is not suitable when using the bassinet, and the steering wheel doesn' t fit on with the carrycot on.

To tie it up out of the way when not in use, simply attach the strap that comes with the board to somewhere on your pushchair that keeps it taught (we use one of the front legs), tilt the board up into your pushchair and clip the end of the strap onto the front edge of the board (the part that’s normally near your feet – simple! However, just like the beefier version, it will fit any pushchair and has the same non-slip platform, with built-in suspension for a comfortable ride. The larger wheels mean there’s better ground clearance which means you’re less likely to accidentally kick the board as you walk (trust us, it can get annoying! The Easy X Rider is a combination seat unit and pushchair board with a padded seat and handle bar atop of a buggy board platform.Suitable for use with children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old, the Buggy Board can also be folded away at the back of your buggy for easy storage when not in use. This unique buggy board features comfortable seating with a steering wheel attached, 3-point harness and anti-slip surface for extra safety. We bought this to match our coast travel system, only used it once so far but appears to be sturdy and covers the baby perfectly whatever the angle. Thanks to its universal telescopic frame and flexible fixing, it fits all models of buggies, both umbrellas and 2-in-1.
