The ET-2710 isn’t especially cultured: its paper feed mechanism is noisy, making it tiring to share space with during longer print jobs, particularly faster ones such as text printing.
Photocopies were faithful to the originals, while scans were excellent both for archiving documents and capturing photos at medium to high detail. Follow the steps on the documentation for getting the printer out of the box, filling it with ink and “charging the ink” (I’m no specialist in printer hardware, Epson probably know what they’re doing with these bits). Scan speeds were similarly relaxed, with previews needing 11 seconds, a 300dpi A4 scan taking 25 seconds, and a 1,200dpi photo scan completing in just under a minute. It’s by no means perfect –after all, printing will never be an activity that is positive for the planet – but when it comes to cutting down on waste, the EcoTank has made a great start for the industry. It is an excellent printer/scanner, but it is not good for photos and it does not show up as an air print through Apple devices.Once online to the WiFi, I was able to access its built in web server from my PC and complete any remaining configuration. Having to combine pressing switches and having to decide whether to wait 5 secs or press them for 5 secs it matters is impossible to tell from the leaflet.

Genuine Epson ink allows you to print like a pro, with a four colour ink set that uses both pigment and dye inks for optimum results. Look on the Network Status Sheet for the “TCP/IP IPv4” section and find the “IP Address(Wi-Fi Direct)” value.
