In the spirit of reconciliation, I respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of the beautiful land I occupy as I work and live, the Gunditjmara people. Beyond this treasury of 75 different granny square motifs, Margaret Hubert shows the evolution of the granny square, how it can be used and interpreted in different ways with different yarns, and how today's crocheter can design her own projects using the granny squares of her choice with the yarn choices of today.
The ultimate in stashbusting, granny squares make quick crochet projects and you'll never get bored of creating them, since there are so many design variations. The instructions are straightforward, there's an inspiring mix of small and large projects to try and I can't wait to get going on Christmas present making this autumn. Gauge refers to the number of stitches and the rows in a given width and length, usually in 4" (10 cm), of crocheted fabric. Not only does it provide a step by step guide to all the crochet stitches it also shows how to read a pattern and different methods of joining granny squares.Eight basic granny square designs are presented and then fashioned into 20 stunning projects for the home.

I include full explanations of special stitches, along with tips for finishing your project beautifully. Big pictures, Written pattern and picture pattern so even if its not clear at first its very easy to figure out.
