About this deal
Yesterday I got the KBears KS1 based on the recommendation in the My Cheap Headphone Starter Guide video, and coming from cheap, crummy headphones like the Skullcandy Jibs and a cheap old Logitech gaming headset that's currently more super glue than headset at this point, the KBears are pretty impressive to me. Today I’m reviewing the KBEAR KS2 Earphones and will finish off the review by also reviewing the KBEAR S1 Bluetooth cable. The rise of the upper midrange continues in the highs where transients, air, and details executed well without being overbearing to the ears. I’m not a huge fan of the treble tuning as that 9kHz spike hits precisely at a point where I am sensitive and to my ear, that needs some EQ to be usable.
strands of 6N OFC high-quality earphone cable not only effectively improve the transparency, separation, sound field, making the sound bottom crystal clear, vocals and musical instruments are more beautiful and beautiful, but also provides better sound quality signal transmission. When I first put the KBEAR KS2 into my ears – listening to Canadian rock of the Guess Who – I could not get them out again, so appealing and irresistable was the sound. They have lots of energy without being annoying or fatiguing on either end – although the graph does not support this. The treble quantity relative to the midrange is somewhat high and Aurora has both ends uplifted above the mids, but the midrange isn't distant or too recessed, just moderately so with most music. If they added just a bit more bass it would have been a more L shaped signature and warm in tonality.I'm hearing things in my music that I never could before, they don't make ridiculous noise from the cable rubbing on my shirt when I breathe, they don't creak, and for the most part I love these things already. The mid-to-high frequency uses customized moving iron units, which can effectively improve the vocal resolution, the mid-frequency density is balanced, the sound is more mellow, the high-frequency is transparent and smooth, showing richer instrument details and delicate music which performed. The KBEAR KS2 Earphones feature a twin-prong socket type plug which enables them to be versatile with additional accessories and upgrades.
The peaks seem to be very subtle and tolerable in comparison (and that's on top of V90's already solid highs).Imaging is about average (again a step better than KS2) with movements easily tracked and fairly well defined in space. For those who are detail addicts and who want a really quick and revealing sound, Adonis is still awesome, but for those who want a stronger sub bass, and a more balanced tonality, Aurora is easier to recommend, and should bring a smile to your face quicker.
Speaking of it being light, the Storm is quite comfortable to the ear because of it not weighing that much but does suffer from “feeling cheap” due to its heft not alluding quality.
