Last year, when we lost David McKee, I was inspired dig out my Mr Benn DVD in honour of his legacy and I was surprised and amazed at how well it stood up. The book itself has usual library markings, brown marks where the dust jacket had once been taped to the front and back boards of the book, light must odor, otherwise in good condition with tight binding, nice illustrations and unpaginated. I have been reading this book to my son since he was three and as time has gone on he can now read it to himself but also enjoys having it read still. Fortunately, Mr Benn and his friends come up with an ingenious plan to save all the gladiators and give the Emperor a taste of his own medicine.
