About this deal

The level control is great for just adding a pinch of chorus if you don’t want to dominate your sound with wash. Using a Stiff Amplification DirtHead amp in clean mode with a Mills Acoustic 4x12 as well as an Overloud TH-2 amp modeler and Elliott Tonemaster, I was able to move from Robbie Blunt’s tone on Robert Plant’s “Big Log” sounds to the deeper undulations of Nirvana’s “Come As You Are” with just a few tweaks of the Level and Depth control. Works better with clean guitars, obviously, rather than distorted, however, still is quite musical with moderate drive. They mention that it has a nice chorus effect, that can be dialled up to unusble warbles, but for them it's solid, has quality analog chorus, and delivers crystal clear tone in the FX loop. The MXR M234 'Blue Analog' Chorus is a heavy-duty guitar effects pedal with all the tonal controls you need to re-create lush, liquid textures. This M 234 Analog Chorus is a redesign and comes in a smaller casing, which makes many people happy.Construction is absolutely nuclear proof and the finish is absolutely gorgeous, my one gripe is the super bright led featured on most of the MXR pedals, but it makes it fun when rocking out with the lights off, feels like you're on stage with a bright blue spotlight setting the mood. The real meat of the pedal lies in the Rate and Depth controls and they offer great range to go from subtle to extreme space effects.

As other reviewers have mentioned, its built like a tank so no fear of it getting damaged like a plastic pedal has the potential to.The MXR M234 features Rate, Level, and Depth controls, as well as knobs for cutting High and Low frequencies allow ultimate tone control. Particularly I like that the knobs are heavy to turn, so probably you won't turn a knob by accident - I love this in a pedal as these do get kicked around occasionally. Features: Analog bucket-brigade technology, high and low cut controls for detailed tone sculpting and two outputs for a wide and sweeping stereo spread.
