About this deal

He said, I am the Aaqib. He himself explained it as well; there is no Prophet after me. So Al-Aaqib means the successor. What it means is that the one who comes at the end. Ibn Hisham's Seerah is a summarized version of Ibn Ishaq's Seerah. Ibn Hisham realized that Ibn Ishaq's version was too big. They did not have a printing press in those days. If you want the book, you will have to handwrite it cover to cover. So he decided to summarize it. Ibn Hisham did not add or re-arrange anything. He simply removed a lot of content. His Seerah is now available in four volumes. It could be that he made it into a half or a third of the original size of Ibn Ishaq' Seerah. Seerah Of Prophet Muhammad assists us in comprehending situations and occurrences in relation to each Ayah presented in the Quran. Seerah and the Ayahs of the Qur’an are inextricably linked. To Follow the Prophet’s Spirit of Islam

I will not give up five habits as long as I live: To eat sitting on the ground with slaves, to ride on a pony without a saddle, to a milch goat with my own hands, to wear coarse woolen cloths, and to greet children, so that it may become a popular habit after me and people follow suit”.The following is a list of some of the early Hadith collectors who specialized in collecting and compiling sīra and maghāzī reports: Another person who wrote a booklet very early was Aban, the son of Usman Ibn Affan (RA). There were other booklets written until the great scholar Ibn Shihab Azzuhri came along. Muhammad ibn Muslim ibn Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Shihab al-Zuhri (died 123 AH/741 CE) We cannot understand the Quran correctly until we have Seerah in our hands. First and foremost, the Quran was given to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and it was progressively revealed during the course of his Prophethood career.

It also features the contents from the Prophetic Timeline project by MRDF (Muslim Research & Development Foundation) presenting a summarised account of the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ life. The Holy Prophet continues to be a model of piety, love, devotion, and strength for all mankind, not just Muslims. His life, although being chronicled, is one of the most interesting and debated lives on the planet. M. R. Ahmad (1992). Al-sīra al-nabawiyya fī ḍawʾ al-maṣādir al-aṣliyya: dirāsa taḥlīliyya (1sted.). Riyadh: King Saud University. Lessons and Wisdoms: Benefit from the deeper meanings, wisdom, and lessons extracted from important historical events. Understanding the Seerah will also immensely benefit us to understand the Qur'an. The Quran is a profound book, and you cannot understand it without understanding the context. Al-Maqam Al-Mahmud means the rank that is Mahmud. It is for the one that is praised. Allah will lift him up to the Al-Maqam Al-Mahmud. The Angels and humanity will praise him. Every single being in existence will praise the Prophet (ﷺ). Al-Maqam Al-Mahmud is for Muhammad and it is for Ahmad. Both of them mean the one who is ultimately praised.

Sirat Rasul Allah, also known as as- sira al-nabawiyya, refers to the study of Muhammad’s life. The term seerah was initially associated with Muhammad’s life by Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri and was soon adopted by Ibn Hisham’s writings. The phrase sīrat rasūl allāh, or as-sīra al-nabawiyya, refers to the study of the life of Muhammad. The term sīra was first linked to the biography of Muhammad by Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri (d. 124/741-2), and later popularized by the work of Ibn Hisham (d. 833). In the first two centuries of Islamic history, sīra was more commonly known as maghāzī (literally, stories of military expeditions), which is now considered to be only a subset of sīra [2]—one that concerns the military campaigns of Muhammad. [3] The gentleness and tranquility of the Prophet Mohammed, as stated in the Holy Quran, is what made him so tremendously strong, and serves as a reminder to us all of the power of love, peace, and quiet strength. They will go to him, and he will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking. Go to Moosa (AS), the slave to whom Allah spoke (directly) and gave him the Torah .'Zirr ibn Hubaysh reported: Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (RA), said, "Verily, Allah looked at the hearts of the servants, and He found that the heart of Muhammad (ﷺ), was the best among them, so He chose him for Himself, and He sent him with His message. Then, He looked at the hearts of His servants after Muhammad (ﷺ), and He found that the hearts of his companions were the best among them. Thus, He made them into the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ), striving for the sake of His religion. ....." We often consider Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to be super-human; but we tend to forget that he was a human being first, a Prophet second. This is the reason why we can’t emotionally connect with him and his life most of the time. There are instances in his life where we observe that he cried, he was hurt (both physically and mentally), he loved his family, he suffered losses, etc. These are all his humanly feelings which we neglect and only keep in mind his preaching, battles, prophethood, etc. Reading the Seerah helps us understand such issues better. Many people think that Seerah and Sunnah are the same, but that’s not true. Sunnah is technical and it involves only excerpts from Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life. It consist of narrations from his life and includes what he said, did and approved of.
