About this deal

Recommend doing this first, particularly if you are installing an 80mm at the front as after you put the PSU in, you won't be able to get to it anymore. Therefore, if you are not planning on installing a slim slot-loading ODD, all ATX PSUs that are up to 140 mm long should fit. Earlier I installed 2x 120mm fans with 25mm thickness under the GPU but it snugged the GPU shroud, and its fans grinds the back frame of those 120mm fans and it was bad. From top to bottom, there's a power button with an integrated LED, a drive-activity LED, two blue color-coded USB 3. The trick is to plug the extension cord into the PSU before sliding the PSU into place inside the case.

We installed the Corsair CX430M PSU into the case, a PSU that would be incompatible according to Cougar's descriptions, and it does fit just fine. while we want to stay away from that PSU mounting frames, the next problem is "do we have enough clearance to the rear case fan? Some mention that it's very easy to build in, while others say that there aren't useful instructions, it'd be a little bit blind, and it requires experience in PC assembly. I take the trades to put NH-C14S to cool my 5GHz 8700K inside a tiny case, also since I don't need many storage drives so I can live with it.

I went hunting around the office, and between the component supplies of PC Gamer and Maximum PC, found three more standard ATX power supplies that were all 160mm long. In fact, that’s a major theme of the QBX: it’s almost entirely toolless, and doesn’t need screws in most of the places I expected them. Removing the panel is stupid easy: it slides in and out of the slots at the top of the case, so you can also flip it up for easy access to the guts without completely removing it.

The oversight for the 120mm AIO and clearance with the supplied rear fan is annoying but not cruical. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I watched the OptimumTech YT chanel where he also install his PSU inside QBX with the orientation like this, but he said that by doing this he can't install the slim 9mm ODD because the AC power cable curve get in the way of the ODD bay, and I confirmed that the official PSU support specs is totally wrong, and the statement from OptimumTech is not completely true. For example, they say it's the perfect size, makes a lot more room on their desk, and has a good layout for a decent sized GPU. This one is real challanging first SFF build, especially in the planing process, and very tedious building process, especially in the cable managements on the back panel, because I have 2x fan hubs on there.
