Her depcition of a manic episode is genuinely frightening to read, as is its aftermath, and there is more than a brief reminder of White's darker writing in the latter chapters.Lexi’s successful podcast is shared with her best friend and boyfriend, and they’re about to sign a deal which will earn them megabucks, but it’s achingly clear neither have her best interests at heart.

Lexi is the other half of famous Irish podcast duo “My Hot Friend”, with her childhood pal Amanda, who regularly gets them cancelled online for the offensive remarks she makes on the pod. As a devoted listener of the Creep Dive/Hive and a huge fan of White’s work in general, I gather there are elements to the story that must be autobiographical.As her friendship with her best friend, Aifric, seems to hang by a thread she begins to take more and more on herself to repair the damage and hopefully to prove to the Bitch Herd that she is worthy. It was full of wonderful characters and an abundance of laugh-your-ass-off funny moments that gave me “Bridesmaids” the movie feels. There are no words to describe how much I loved this book so I won't even try too much 😂 I've always loved Sophie's writing but this is by far my favourite. Lexi starts to realise she should never have mixed business with friendship, but is it too late to save their relationship? All these women struggle with their own mental health but it is Claire's that is the most precarious.
