I'm migrating all my connectors etc over to that brand because I think they're better than Hoselock. Our packaging is usually recycled and/or recyclable and we make efficient use of packaging to minimise wastage. The Hozelock AC1 2705 is equipped with multiple features making it a versatile irrigation controller. The AC 1 Timer included in the kit, provides extensive control and flexibility to adjust watering duration, frequency and start time. The unit's pre-programmed memory remembers your selection and opens the internal valve to allow water out of your garden tap.

The aqua control AC1 water timer is a flexible, programmable, battery powered water timer that automates watering your garden. The clear, easy-to-use screen displays relevant information including current time, watering status, and battery level. I did look at dual/multiple timers but they were more than I wanted to spend and as you say, the reviews weren't great. The reason for chosing that one is the ability to have multiple watering periods per days right through to potentially one per week, and watering duration from a couple of minutes up. The large dial allows programmes to be easily selected and program acceptance is confirmed by an audible beep. All my Hoselock connectors etc developed annoying little leaks after a relatively short period but the Gardena ones just seem a tad more robust. If the valve opens and closes when the batteries are inserted for the first time, but does not work when the dial is set to ON or OFF, this may indicate poor battery performance.
