Battery life was much shorter than promised; we saw a battery warning after a couple of hours of taking measurements, although the battery did actually last for quite a while after that – but not the full 16 hours. It will capture a curved surface and allow it to be uploaded into the app, and you can export it to a CAD program.

Pro-Laser Pythagorean – This mode only works for right triangles (where one angle is 90 degrees) and this would be most useful for a vertical measurement like a wall or fence that is difficult to access. This is convenient since you don’t have to go back into settings, unless you want to change from English to metric. The unit is well designed, portable and has a simple and intuitive interface making it easy to operate which is an impressive feat given the technology involved. Once the new project is created and named, that project name will appear at the top of the main screen.
